What to expect at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2017!

Sustainability, efficiency and product safety are among the top issues that will be addressed at the latest packaging technology at Pack Expo in Las Vegas from 25–27 September 2017. The event, organized by The Association of Packaging and Processing Technologies (PMMI), will be co-located with the Healthcare Packaging Expo and is expected to host 30,000 attendees, including 5,000 international visitors from more than 125 countries, and 2,000-plus exhibiting companies that will span nearly 900,000  square feet of an almost sold-out exhibition floor.

Safal Flexibond participates in interpack for the first time

One of India’s leading manufacturers of self-adhesive tapes and stretch films products, Safal Flexibond participated in interpack for the first time in 2017. The company had its stand at the India Pavilion along with more than 20 other Indian firms. Safal Flexibond’s plant, located near Ahmedabad, houses one high-speed acrylic coating machine and a 5-color gravure printing machine. The printing machine is capable of producing 70 million square meters per annum while the coating machine churns out 250 million square meters of tape every year. The plant also has a fully automated slitting machine which works in tandem with auto packing lines. The company exports about 40% of its manufactured products to markets like USA, East Africa, Southeast Asia, and more.

Healthcare Packaging EXPO 2017

Healthcare Packaging EXPO, the successor to the most comprehensive pharma event in years, will be co-located with PACK EXPO Las Vegas this fall in Las Vegas Convention Center from 25 to 27 September. Produced by The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (PMMI), Healthcare Packaging EXPO is expected to lead the way in packaging innovation for pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device manufacturers.

Skypack India exhibits new tube laminates in Dusseldorf

Faridabad-based Skypack India during its second participation at interpack focused on promoting its new tube laminates. Along with its tube laminates and laminated tubes, the company also promoted its flexible packaging solutions such as lidding films, 3- and 5-layer co-extruded blown films, 3-layer cast films and preformed pouches. The company offers packaging solutions to both food and pharmaceutical industries. In terms of infrastructure, Skypack has 6-, 8- and 9-color rotogravure printing machines, capable of printing a variety of substrates including, PET, BOPP, paper and LDPE. For converting packaging films, it has Nordmeccanica solventless lamination machines, slitters and pouching machines. It also has a tubing machine and a tube printing machine.
