At the exhibition, B&R will be presenting new packages of IoT solutions for existing machinery. Orange Box enables machine operators to collect and analyze data from previously isolated machines and lines and get them fi t for the smart factory

B&R will be presenting ‘Automation solutions for every step towards Industrial IoT’ at its stand S1 in Hall 1 of the Automation Expo 2017 at the BEC in Mumbai. At the exhibition, B&R will be showcasing its Orange Box as well as other allied solutions, which make machines and factories smart and help to achieve operational excellence. The Orange Box enables factories and plants to fully transform into smart manufacturing set-ups and also connect their obsolete and digitally isolated machines.

Orange Box — Manufacturing intelligence for brownfield

The Orange Box is entirely flexible and modular. To collect and analyze basic operating data, all one needs is a 25-millimeter wide compact PLC and the software component mapp OEE. For more advanced features, such as alarm management or energy monitoring, the solution can easily be scaled up with more powerful PLCs and additional software components. To give the Orange Box a modern user interface in addition to PLC functionality, a Power Panel or a Panel PC can be used.

SuperTrak — Next generation industrial transport

Another highlight at the booth will be B&R’s SuperTrak, which is dependable, precise and requires remarkably low maintenance; it enables agile, efficient production at any batch size. Programming takes place in the Automation Studio software development environment. SuperTrak has been specially developed for 24/7 operation in harsh industrial environments. The system is reliable, safe and remarkably service-friendly. Individual segments and shuttles can easily be replaced without having to disassemble the track. This results in a very low mean repair time and increases the productivity of the entire plant. Like all B&R products, SuperTrak is fully integrated in B&R automation solutions. This high degree of integration eliminates system discontinuities and opens up all options when putting together a complete system.
