The Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) recently organized a technical seminar and networking event in Chandigarh with the objective to update printers on the latest trends in labels. The event, held at The Lalit in Chandigarh on 9 December 2017, was sponsored by leading industry suppliers such as Avery Dennison India, SMI Coated Products, Flint Group, NBG Printographic Machinery, Provin Technos and HP Inc.

Pradeep Saroha from Labelexpo announced 22 to 25 November 2018 as the dates for Labelexpo India 2018 show, which will take place at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, Delhi/NCR. He also shared details on the roadshows that are planned in various parts of the country for event promotion.

Labelexpo 2018 roadshows will be held in Kerala, West Bengal, Yamunanagar /Ambala, Jammu, Pune, Rajkot, Surat, Ahmedabad and Guwahati in India besides in countries like Sri Lanka and Bangladesh during the months of September, October and November. Visitors at the event will have a chance to witness the latest in technology for the label and package printing industry.

He highlighted the importance of decoration transfer, which would help companies overcome the various challenges posed by the competing atmosphere prevalent in the industry and allow them to gain significant profits in a loss-stricken market.

Shamim Alam of HP Inc spoke about generating unique labels and organizing campaigns for better customer engagement. Nitin Garg of NBG Printograph spoke about the new servo-driven flexo printing press offered by his company for the label industry. The press brings about variety to printing labels, thus offering new and unique solutions to customers.

Other speakers gracing the event included Ankur Joshi of Provin Technos and
Harshal Mahajan, national sales manager, SMI Coated Products.
