EFI has promoted Samir Gulve to vice president and managing director of EFI India. Gulve, who assumed his new position in February, is directing EFI’s business expansion efforts in India as the company intensifies its focus on substantially growing its local business
capabilities. EFI will be hiring more staff in the country and adding 30% more space to accommodate growing opportunities in India’s packaging, decoration, graphic arts and industrial inkjet printing markets.

In that role, he was responsible for many of the engineering activities used to advance EFI’s MIS/ERP, web-to-print and Fierydigital print workflow products. Under Gulve’s leadership, the India Development Centre completed award-winning software product upgrades that solve some of the toughest workflow issues EFI customers face. “Gulve has had a very positive influenceon EFI’sculture, productivity and innovation, and his well-rounded background in sales, engineering, R&D andoperations make himanidealchoice

In his new role, Gulve has assumed responsibility for one of EFI’s fastest growing geographic markets. As managing director of EFI India, Gulve leads a comprehensive sales, marketing, services and product development organization serving the country’s printing, packaging and industrial manufacturing companies. EFI’s products, including the leading-edge workflow and digital print software systems developed in India, are key technologies in the transition from analogue to digital printing.
