Mespack
Mespack India is now Duravant India

Packaging specialist Mespack India has announced that as part of its parent company’s global strategy, it will now be known as Duravant India. This change represents much more than a new name—it marks the beginning of an exciting chapter of growth, innovation, and stronger partnerships, the company said.

According to a statement, clients will continue to receive the same reliable packaging solutions, services, and support under the Mespack brand. In addition, the company is expanding its portfolio to include Duravant’s global brands in food sorting and handling, protein processing, material handling, and advanced packaging technologies, thus increasing the value chain. It is also investing in localised engineering, service, and resources in India.

“For years, Mespack India has proudly stood as a trusted name in packaging solutions— known for its engineering excellence, customer-first approach, and ability to deliver quality with consistency. Together, we have built strong partnerships and a reputation that has made us a reliable choice in the industry,” its Indian head Anthony D’souza said in a statement.

“Our journey as Mespack India has been one of steady growth and unwavering trust, built through the dedication of our people and the loyalty of our customers. It is on this strong foundation that we now step into a new future while supporting sustainability initiatives, ensuring process and output efficiency and delivering unmatched service.”

Duravant investment supports India’s fast-growing economy

Duravant, a global leader in engineered equipment and automation solutions for the food processing, packaging, and material handling sectors, has also announced the expansion of operations in India. The launch of Duravant India marks a major advancement in Duravant’s emerging markets strategy and reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering localized expertise and world-class service in high growth markets

The company’s investment in India is part of Duravant’s broader pledge to establish local infrastructure in key geographies. With two operational hubs in Thane, Maharashtra, and Vadodara, Gujarat, Duravant India is positioned to offer dedicated sales, technical assistance, and after-sales support tailored to the unique needs of the Indian market. These capabilities enable faster response times, closer customer collaboration, and seamless delivery of end-to-end automation solutions.

“Growing our footprint in India marks a pivotal move in our commitment to deliver exceptional support across one of the world’s fastest-growing regions,” said Petros Diamantides, group president of Emerging Markets. “This expansion ensures our customers gain quicker access to critical spare parts and expert technical services through the Duravant Lifecycle Services network.”

Duravant’s portfolio—ranging from advanced automation equipment and integration services to comprehensive aftermarket support—will be deployed in partnership with its nineteen operating companies.

“For over 15 years, we’ve maintained a strong local presence in India through a dedicated team from Mespack, a Duravant company,” added Diamantides. “Now, expanding our reach to offer solutions across the full Duravant portfolio is a game-changer for operators seeking advanced technologies in protein processing, food sorting and handling, packaging, and material handling. It’s a significant step towards delivering even greater value to our customers across the region.”

“India represents one of the world’s most dynamic industrial and consumer markets,” said Anthony D’souza, acting managing director, Duravant India. Emphasizing the country’s strategic importance, D’souza cites rapid economic development and the adoption of automation across sectors such as food, agriculture, consumer goods and logistics. “India’s manufacturing sector is evolving at an unprecedented pace, driven by rising consumer demand, increasing export opportunities, and a strong push for efficiency and safety. Businesses are turning to automation not just to scale operations, but to meet global standards–and they’re looking to 2 trusted partners like Duravant to deliver proven, high-performance solutions that can support their growth, he added.”

Duravant India is one of five key international locations where Duravant has recently established operations, alongside Brazil, Mexico, China, and Thailand. This strategic global expansion reflects Duravant’s commitment to bringing its world-class technologies and services closer to customers in high-growth markets. “We remain focused on investing and building strong local partnerships that enable us to provide unmatched value and service across every region we serve,” Diamantides said.

Headquartered in Downers Grove, IL, USA, Duravant is a global automation equipment company with manufacturing, sales and service facilities throughout North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
