Gurugram-headquartered Lakhdatar International, a producer of plastic pouches and bags, has invested in Starlinger machines for woven plastic packaging production. Starlinger is an Austrian machine manufacturing company based in Vienna.
The order comprises Starlinger’s latest generation of tape extrusion technology and tape winders, as well as circular looms for producing high-quality OPP-laminated woven polypropylene bags. Lakhdatar already works with a lamination line with OPP feature from Starlinger. The newly ordered machinery will be delivered mid 2025.
“We are proud to be the partner of a renowned family-owned company such as Lakhdatar International, a pioneer on the Indian packaging market,” said Franz Steiner, regional sales director of Starlinger. “We appreciate the trust and confidence Lakhdatar is placing in us and look forward to a long and fruitful cooperation.”
“With this investment we are gearing up to bring even more innovation, sustainability, and efficiency into our manufacturing process,” said Nitish Goel, CMD of Lakhdatar International. “The new equipment from Starlinger enables us to stay ahead of the curve with high-speed tape extrusion and weaving, producing top-quality, sustainable packaging products.”
Headquartered in Gurugram near Delhi, Lakhdatar operates two factories in Karnal in Haryana and produces plastic pouches and bags in the volume range from 250 g to 50 kg. Lakhdatar offers packaging with a wide variety of customization possibilities such as various zipper and slider options, handles, micro-perforation or 3D printing.
The family-owned company provides packaging for the food and beverage sector, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry, as well as for agricultural, pet and farm animal applications.
