Ahmedabad-based MBR Flexibles, a division of MBR Group, is set to install two Mark Andy presses, one after another, to bolster its overall printing & production of labels & flexible packaging solutions. Both the flexographic presses are from Flexo Image Graphics (FIG).
The establishment of the MBR Group goes back to the 1960s when the company’s business revolved around dye-chemicals, textile auxiliaries, and bulk intermediates. As an imperative division of the group, MBR Flexibles was unveiled in 2010, extensively engaging in flexible packaging in one unit. Another unit nowadays is exclusively engaged in label printing. The division’s production facility is standardizing with the installations of the two Mark Andy presses—Mark Andy 2200 and Mark Andy Evolution Series E5.

Sahil Chopra and Yash Chopra, directors of MBR Flexibles, are heading the division’s label printing unit. Whereas, Siddharth Chopra, Sagar Chopra, and Mohit Chopra, directors of MBR Flexibles, take care of the flexible packaging manufacturing unit. The division provides cost-effective, durable, sustainable, and invincible range of labels as well as flexible packaging solutions to clients predominantly in the food and beverage sectors.
At present, MBR Flexibles produces 900 to 1000 tons of flexible packaging solutions every month. One of the factors behind the company’s overall competency is its strong machine portfolio, which is made stronger by adding the Mark Andy 2200 and Mark Andy Evolution Series E5. “These two flexographic presses from FIG are best-in-class machines in terms of their significant capacities, performances, values, and outputs,” says Sahil.
“Designed and engineered with upgraded technologies for efficiently handling maximum print width up to 17 inch, these two Mark Andy presses are capable of handling all jobs, right from self-adhesive labels to shrink sleeve & in-mold (IML) labels and more,” he says. He emphasizes that their back to back installations of the two high-end presses will allow them to significantly increase volume and flexibility in label and flexible packaging printing and production.

MBR Flexibles has been partnered with FIG for years. “Earlier, we had invested in a number of machines from FIG, which included a Rhyguan Smart 450 slitter-rewinder and others,” says Sahil, adding, “We continue our investments in new machines from FIG, such as the two Mark Andy presses, because we are happy to be partnered with them for the quality of products they supply and unprecedented after-sales support they provide.”
To help its customers across India, FIG has set up a ‘Customer Support Department’ operating through its main office in Delhi and branches in Mumbai and Chennai. In addition to Mark Andy and Rhyguan, FIG distributes machines from other international brands such as Rotoflex, Kluge, KDS Quantum, Presstek, DYM Machinery, etc.
Backed by a strong team of 200 printing & production staff, MBR Flexibles is moving ahead for further expansion. In this, Sahil says they are buying more machines from FIG to foray into new segments in the market.
