Xeikon will be demonstrating four different automated production lines at the Labelexpo 2019. Exhibiting in three dedicated areas on Stand 28, Hall 5C, Xeikon will present its wide-web, large format labels for the chemical and automotive industries, its latest durable labels for the health & beauty and food & wine sectors, and its dry toner and laminating technologies for flexible packaging and pouches.

The company will also demonstrate its Label Discovery Package for entry-level investments. Across the show, Xeikon will participate in the Sustainability Insight Café and the Flexible Packaging Arena.

“At this year’s Labelexpo, Xeikon will announce new partnerships, new innovations, and new online tools. Our new advisory tool ‘Transform’ is already taking our customer service offerings to a different level. Digital label printing has become a mainstream technology with many suppliers, and the wealth of choice now available does not make it easy for label converters to choose what is best for their business,” says Filip Weymans, vice president of marketing.

Sustainability Insight café

At their Information Booth in the Sustainability Zone, Xeikon will share its own initiatives taken throughout the years to address and inspire others. Additionally, the company will demonstrate different label and packaging applications that offer sustainable and economically feasible alternatives to commonly used products. Offering paper cup converters potential new business opportunities, Xeikon will demonstrate the next generation of sustainable food packaging safely printed with Xeikon’s dry toner digital technology working with Kotkamills ISLA Duoboard paper cup stock. They will also present their UV dry toner technology, an FDA certified digital label printing solution ideal for labels that have direct or indirect contact with food. The company will also discuss its own methodology at its toner plant in Belgium, where natural gas and heat consumption has been reduced, reducing, in turn, CO2 emissions.

Flexible Packaging Arena

In this arena, Xeikon will showcase its dry toner technology and its innovative solutions for flexible packaging and pouch production with complete food safety compliance. Xeikon will demonstrate its CX500 press combined with an offline laminator, and show the full production process of creating a flexible packaging laminate using digital print.

The impact, resilience, and growth of responsible packaging in a wide region are daily chronicled by Packaging South Asia.

A multi-channel B2B publication and digital platform such as Packaging South Asia is always aware of the prospect of new beginnings and renewal. Its 16-year-old print monthly, based in New Delhi, India has demonstrated its commitment to progress and growth. The Indian and Asian packaging industries have shown resilience in the face of ongoing challenges over the past three years.

As we present our publishing plan for 2023, India’s real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2023 will reach 6.3%. Packaging industry growth has exceeded GDP growth even when allowing for inflation in the past three years.

The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 33% over the past three years. With orders in place, we expect another 33% capacity addition from 2023 to 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels have grown similarly. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.

Even given the disruptions of supply chains, raw material prices, and the challenge of responsible and sustainable packaging, packaging in all its creative forms and purposes has significant headroom to grow in India and Asia. Our context and coverage engulf the entire packaging supply chain – from concept to shelf and further – to waste collection and recycling. We target brand owners, product managers, raw material suppliers, packaging designers and converters, and recyclers.

In an admittedly fragmented and textured terrain, this is the right time to plan your participation and marketing support communication – in our impactful and highly targeted business platform.
