Kodak

The NX Implementation Service aims at enabling printers to unlock the full advantage of the Kodak plate technology with experienced technical specialists who provide an onsite service to help customers identify how they can make improvements in print quality, cost and productivity. PSPs completing the optimization process can earn the title of Kodak Certified Partner.

The new Flexcel NX System ’16 delivers advanced print capabilities with the simplest plate portfolio in the industry. Unique Kodak imaging and material technology enable the system to produce plates for the full gamut of flexo printing applications using two plate material types only, giving prepress operations that switch from competitive technologies the added opportunity to reduce inventory, errors and complexity.

For flexible packaging printers, the Flexcel NX System ’16 means cost savings and press efficiency by delivering ink savings, faster press operation, use of fewer colors and longer lasting plates in narrow, mid and wide web operations. Kodak also plans to showcase a Flexcel NX product offering for the corrugated market.

Kodak will reveal the next major advances in flexo plate technology in the Ultra NX Experience room on the Kodak stand to learn about environmentally-conscious plate technology that could cut platemaking times in half, run longer on press and deliver higher printing quality, all with the robustness and consistency for which the Kodak Flexcel NX platform has become well known.

At a pre-drupa media conference in Dusseldorf, Chris Payne, general manager, flexographic packaging solutions, Kodak said, “Kodak’s superior offering is driving growth for flexo PSPs; our customers are winning business and successfully converting designs previously printed using offset or rotogravure to flexo production. With our unmatched flexo offering, Kodak is giving printers the production efficiency and print quality they’ve have been waiting for in order to make flexo the packaging print process of choice. The Kodak stand is a must-visit for packaging PSPs at drupa 2016.”

Packaging South Asia is the cooperating media partner for drupa 2016 which is scheduled to be held from 31 May to 10 June at Dusseldorf, Germany.
