New generation induction cap sealing machines

In 1989, Electronics introduced induction cap sealing for the first time in India for Procter & Gamble’s Vicks Vaporub. A 5 KW induction cap sealer was supplied to deliver a production speed of 300 bpm (bottles per min). The company’s manufacturing plants in Mumbai, Pune, Gujarat and the USA meet the demands of major dairy products, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, petrochemicals, cosmetics companies and global clients. In the last two-and-a-half decades, Electronics has produced induction seals on several types of simple and complicated bottle designs.

A recipient of the Pacmachine Award in 2015, Electronics has recently launched Sigma Jet I NEO and Sigma II NEO, which are new generation induction cap sealing machines. Both are CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) Title 21 and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) compliant and are applicable to pharma companies, medical device manufacturers, biotech companies and other US-FDA regulated industries. Moreover, these machines are equipped with an intuitive touchscreen design.

Sigma Jet I NEO is capable of sealing a wide range of cap sizes (20 to 120 mm) without replacing the sealing head and involves low power consumption. Its ergonomic features include an easy parametric setting for higher outputs, offer uniform heating of foil surfaces, and improve quality and consistency in sealing. Sigma Jet I runs at a maximum line speed of 32 fpm and Sigma Jet II runs at a speed of 55 mm. Both machines are compact and user-friendly and can store data and report files in a hard disk to access information. Systems, data backup and password security for supervisors and operators are the additional features of these machines.

The company’s Vision Inspection System checks defects, black spots and scratch marks missing liners in moulded caps and bottles. This system consists of a feeder turret, conveyor and camera system with controller. Bottles or caps are loaded into the feeder for inspection. The wheel brings the product in front of different cameras sequentially. Products are inspected through different cameras and depending on the requirement, one to six camera solutions can be provided.
