Mumbai-based Nulith received overwhelming response to its coatings solutions that it promoted at Pamex 2020, held in Mumbai from 6 to 9 January at Bombay Exhibition Centre. In India, Nulith distributes coatings from Germany’s Actega. “We promoted barrier coatings during the show. Barrier coatings are a replacement to plastic and are an environmentally friendly solution, which is recyclable and compostable. We also displayed boxes with the sustainable coating application. We got very good response from the visitors,” said Kaushil Shah of Nulith. Shah said that these coatings can be applied to items such as paper boxes and cartons. “These coatings can be applied to things which are used to make single serving or to pack food items that need to be stored for a very short period of time. I see strong demand, especially from the sweets industry, which is gradually looking for sustainable and recyclable solutions for coating on sweet boxes,” Shah said.
