EPL
Jayesh Boraste, global manager sustainability, EPL, has been recognized as one of the Indian Green Leaders by the Great Indian ESG Community

EPL, a known name in specialty tube manufacturing, has earned the prestigious Platinum rating from EcoVadis—an accolade that places the company among the top 1% of more than 150,000 organizations assessed worldwide.

The Platinum designation, the company says in its latest sustainability update, recognizes EPL’s deep commitment to responsible business practices across environmental performance, ethical governance, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurement.

The recognition reflects years of structured action and measurable progress across EPL’s global operations. From expanding renewable energy use and accelerating emissions reduction to advancing responsible sourcing and circular-economy-focused product innovation, the company has embedded sustainability into its core strategy.

EPL noted that the rating is not just a score but a testament to its ongoing journey of continuous improvement and its ambition to lead the packaging industry in sustainable transformation.

With this achievement, EPL further strengthens its position as a global sustainability leader and reinforces its long-term vision: to become the world’s most sustainable packaging company.

EPL had also made the CDP Corporate Climate topmost ‘A’ List in 2024, increasing its score from B in 2023. Reaching this top score reflects EPL’s dedication to mitigating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and achieving its ambitious targets validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). EPL said this improved CDP rating is a testament to its continued efforts to strengthen its climate change strategy and accelerate the journey towards a low-carbon future.

In the sustainability update, the company also mentioned that Jayesh Boraste, global manager sustainability, EPL, has been recognized as one of the Indian Green Leaders by the Great Indian ESG

Community, in acknowledgment of the significant contributions made across all dimensions of environmental, social, and governance (ESG).

EPL was also awarded by UNGC for Sustainable Supply Chain Excellence. The Sustainable Supply Chain Award recognizes organizations that have demonstrated a significant commitment to promoting and adopting sustainable practices within their supply chains. This accolade is given to those who prioritize environmental responsibility, ethical sourcing and social responsibility in their procurement processes, advancing sustainability through their Supply Chain.
