The event was marked by leadership speeches, product & technology presentations, and fun moments as the attendees engaged in productive networking. Gourav Roy, managing director, Flexo Image Graphics, said the main objective of the event, like other erstwhile editions, was to discuss and decide new business models, products, solutions, knowledge, and customer support.
“There are certain challenges lurking in the current market, related to costs, products, technologies, trends, and innovations. We figured out business models, robust customer support systems with economical solutions with which businesses can be carried forward amid the ongoing market challenges,” he said, adding, “Moreover, we highlighted our upcoming plan to expand footprints in the neighbouring overseas markets of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.”
At one of the sessions on product & technology presentations, Gurunath Baji, director, XSYS Flexo India, revealed some of the company’s key products comprising plates, sleeves, processors, workflow solutions, etc. He stated that they are now active in the Indian market with FIG as their dedicated channel partner providing high-quality plates, sleeves, and associated equipment like plate processors. The partnership between FIG and XSYS was officially announced last year.
Baji’s presentation spotlighted the dominance of gravure technology (65%) in the current Indian market with a positive movement towards flexo (35%) due to the latter’s improvement in quality and operational cost.
