Print4All is moving into the next phase of its journey towards 2027, presenting to the market the project for the upcoming edition, scheduled at Fiera Milano from 25 to 28 May.
The event, organized by Fiera Milano and promoted by Argi and Acimga, the leading Italian industry associations, returns with its renewed schedule.
At the core of the project is the ability to represent and connect the entire printing and converting ecosystem: from printing systems to converting processes, from materials to application solutions, with tailored offerings for every sector where these technologies are applied.Â
Within this framework, Print4All will present the industry in its full breadth: from package printing to industrial printing, from corrugated board to labeling, from commercial and publishing print to large-format and visual communication, extending to innovations in substrates, inks and materials.
An approach that reflects the complexity of the market and its capacity to address cross-industry needs, from industrial manufacturing to brand communication.
Print4All 2027 is built on a clear vision: printing and converting technologies are not merely production tools, but strategic components for shaping identity, enhancing products and making brand communication more effective. The exhibition will be the space where these processes converge, demonstrating how integration helps develop increasingly advanced solutions capable of addressing the specific requirements of each application segment.
An identity that mirrors the evolution of the sector itself, characterized by growing integration between printing and converting – with technologies increasingly converging into a single process – and by a strong drive towards sustainability, customization and digitization.
New materials and corrugated: the special areas of Print4All 2027
To interpret the most dynamic trajectories of the industry, Print4All 2027 will focus on two special initiatives designed to showcase the potential and innovation capacity of the most dynamic market segments:
- Print Matter(s): developed in collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome – through the Sapienza Innovation & Entrepreneurship Hub – this initiative takes the form of a research platform connecting materials, technologies, production processes, applications and future scenarios, offering a cross-cutting perspective on innovation. The objective is to turn research into a practical tool for companies by linking innovation, production and market needs. The project starts from the analysis and selection of materials – sustainable, emerging or already in use – to explore not only their technical characteristics, but above all their potential applications and the value they can generate in terms of product and communication.Â
- The work is structured around four thematic clusters, expressed through four verbs: regenerate, focusing on new materials and production models oriented towards sustainability and biofabrication; perceive, exploring the role of surfaces and materials in shaping sensory experience and perceived value; digitalize, analyzing the evolution of production processes, customization and the integration between physical and digital; activate, investigating how print is evolving into a technology capable of enabling new functions, behaviors and possibilities for materials. The results will go beyond theory, taking the form of prototypes, samples and mock-ups that will create an experiential area at the exhibition. Not merely a collection of materials, but a curated journey designed to show what is already achievable today and which scenarios are emerging for the value chain.
- Corrugated Experience: the second edition of the initiative dedicated to corrugated board returns, positioning it not only as a technical material but as an industrial resource capable of accompanying a product throughout its lifecycle – from packaging to logistics through to recycling. A segment where print plays a key role in transforming corrugated into a communication and branding tool. The area will focus on a sector representing excellence within Made in Italy, through a structured narrative that highlights its strategic role across the value chain. The project will combine an exhibition offering – technologies, solutions and materials – with a content program designed to interpret the main ongoing developments in the sector. Topics – from sustainability and recycling, to the evolution of logistics and e-commerce, from industrial efficiency and automation to the role of packaging in communication and emerging skills requirements – will be addressed through two complementary formats. With Ask the Expert, guided in-depth sessions, companies and professionals will engage directly with experts on specific application topics; with Meet & Greet, more informal networking moments, participants will continue discussions, share experiences and foster relationships across the value chain. This approach reinforces the role of the area as a hub for knowledge and exchange, where content and networking combine to provide a concrete view of the development opportunities in corrugated.
Alongside these focuses, labelling will continue to be a key development area, where labelling, finishing and customisation are evolving in close connection with converting and package printing, generating new application opportunities for packaging and product communication.
Education and employment: print4future engages young talent
Alongside technology and market content, Print4All 2027 strengthens its commitment to education and employment with Print4Future, the project designed to bring younger generations closer to the printing and converting value chain and to present concrete career opportunities within the industry.
The initiative responds to an increasingly evident need for companies: the difficulty in sourcing technical and operational skills capable of managing increasingly digitalised machinery. Across all Italian technical and manufacturing sectors, 67.8% report challenges in finding suitable profiles (source: Confindustria Labour Survey 2025), a significant gap that underscores the need to build direct connections between the education system and the production world. In this context, the printing and converting sector continues to evolve, requiring diversified skills – from material management to production processes through to advanced digital solutions – while representing a significant employment base at European level, with over 500,000 employees (source: Intergraf).
Print4Future aims to identify new talent for the market and bridge the gap between supply and demand by bringing a structured career orientation program to the exhibition. On Friday 28 May, hundreds of senior high school students will attend the fair and take part in a dedicated program to discover the sector, its transformations and the professional roles it offers. Exhibiting companies will be directly involved through meetings, discussions and testimonials, with entrepreneurs, managers and HR professionals sharing insights on required skills, entry pathways and career development opportunities.
An initiative that will translate into concrete scouting and recruiting activity: on one hand, it will enable companies to identify new talent; on the other, it will offer young people the opportunity to connect with a sector that is often underestimated but rich in prospects.
The ambassadors: market expertise supporting the project
For 2027, Print4All continues to define its offering through ongoing dialogue with the value chain. The development of the exhibition is engaging companies and industry professionals with the aim of shaping content and initiatives that closely reflect current market developments.
Within this framework, Ambassadors will be selected from among professionals with direct experience in key areas such as labelling, corrugated, personalization and packaging, to accurately represent the different segments of the industry.
Their contribution will be concrete and operational: they will take part in defining content, identifying key topics and interpreting market trends, bringing the perspective of professionals actively engaged in the industry. At the same time, they will provide added value to visitors, helping shape the exhibition offering around what companies need most today: application-driven solutions, implementable innovations and development opportunities. An approach that positions the exhibition not only as a showcase, but as a platform for knowledge exchange and networking, seen through the experience of those who understand the dynamics of the sector first-hand.Â
