A press release from Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) introduces its new Oneflex CI flexo press for flexible packaging. The company says the new modular machine is developed for packaging printers who need strong performance, easier operation and the flexibility to meet changing market requirements. The press combines a new platform architecture with improved accessibility, operator-friendly handling and a newly developed print deck designed for high print stability in demanding production environments.
The new Oneflex print deck is engineered to deliver excellent print stability and reliable performance at production speeds of up to 600 meters a minute at printing widths of up to 1,650 mm – a format range that was previously reserved for W&H’s premium machine portfolio. The press is available with 8 or 10 color decks, allowing customers the flexibility to configure the machine around their production needs.
“Oneflex is not just another CI flexo press. It is a new machine that brings key strengths of W&H CI flexo technology together in one machine,” said Holger Kreilkamp, director product management, W&H. “The new print deck, the modular architecture and the operator-focused design are all built around what printers need in daily production: stable print quality, high output, easier operation and the flexibility to meet changing production requirements.”
Safety and ease of operation were central development priorities, resulting in what the company says is the safest CI flexo press W&H has built to date, combining advanced safety features with improved accessibility, an operator-oriented layout and simplified handling throughout daily production.
W&H says it will also offer the Oneflex Ultimate, its higher performance configuration designed for applications where the last percentages make the difference capable of production speeds of up to 700 minutes a minute, extended repeat length, enhanced print stability and additional exclusive technologies. The W&H Oneflex was officially presented at PackExpo in Chicago.
