Global packaging supply chain partner PPM Papers discussed its continuous expansion, growing international footprint, and pioneering substrate technology developed for high-speed pressure-sensitive label manufacturing at Loupe India 2026.
As a long-standing participant, PPM Papers has been exhibiting at the trade event since 2012. Speaking to Packaging South Asia, Janam Mehta, director, highlighted the exhibition’s vital role in driving industrial connections and called Loupe India an exciting platform for meeting the broader packaging industry.
At this edition, PPM Papers introduced several novel synthetic polyethylene (PE) films designed for facestock applications in pressure-sensitive labels. The company prominently featured advanced top-coated and synthetic PE films engineered for high-durability applications.
The highlight was an ultra-thin 60-micron PE film, introduced to the Indian market for the first time as the thinnest polyethylene film used for pressure-sensitive label applications.
Rigorous field trials showed that this new 60-micron substrate easily achieves dispensing speeds as high as 400 labels per minute, Mehta explained.
Positioning itself as a specialized supply chain partner rather than a primary paper mill operator, PPM Papers represents leading paper mills across various international markets to deliver specialty packaging products.
The company serves label stock manufacturers ranging from small-scale converters to major industry leaders across about seven countries. To support this reach, PPM Papers operates regional offices in India, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. Three dedicated warehousing facilities are in India and one in the US.
“Looking ahead, we feel strong optimism regarding the future of the Indian packaging sector despite potential global challenges. Although geopolitical disruptions and supply chain vulnerabilities pose risks to fast-growing economies, India’s expanding free trade agreements, bilateral trade deals, and strategic international partnerships will cushion these risks. As a result, the Indian packaging industry is expected to experience exponential long-term growth, establishing itself as one of the fastest-growing sectors in the national economy,” he said.
