At Loupe India 2026, global adhesive solutions provider, Henkel, highlighted its portfolio of specialty tapes and label solutions, placing a strong emphasis on its hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesives (HMPSA).
Presenting the company’s latest technology and market perspective, Ajit Narkhede, senior sales manager for specialty tapes and labels, Henkel India, detailed the company’s showcase, industry trends, and long-term expansion vision.
A major focus of Henkel’s showcase at the trade fair was the launch of its new high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive technology, Technomelt PS 8013. Designed specifically for label applications, the newly introduced product has already garnered positive initial feedback and strong inquiry interest following early market trials.
Addressing visitor turnout at the event, Narkhede said that while footfall was somewhat affected by weather conditions and scheduling conflicts with cultural festivities, the overall quality of engagement and visitor response remained impressive.
Beyond product showcases, conversations at the event were heavily dominated by global supply chain uncertainties. Narkhede highlighted that customers are increasingly focused on securing reliable raw material supplies at the right price and time.
“The broader industry faces significant cost pressure, with product costs experiencing double-digit increases rather than marginal upticks. Because packaging and labeling operate within a converting industry, these escalated material costs will inevitably be passed down the supply chain, ultimately impacting end consumers through broader inflationary pressures,” he said.
Despite these ongoing market uncertainties expected over the next two quarters, Henkel maintains an aggressive long-term strategy for growth. Narkhede said, “Henkel is actively investing in expanding its operational footprint, projecting a 50% capacity growth in packaging adhesives over the next two years.”
He emphasized that this target represents volume-based expansion, with revenue and value growth expected to reach even higher levels as the market stabilizes.
