New format creates new opportunities for product presentations

Virtual stand tours and individual live demonstrations made innovative technology experienceable at the virtual.drupa from 20 to 23 April 2021. Hell had invited many global participants to a virtual drupa stand tour where current developments were presented on four product islands. The subsequent opportunity for individual live demonstrations was very popular.

The theme of the virtual stand tour was ‘High-resolution printing forme production, fast and safe.’ Around 200 participants from all over the world took part in the online events and many took advantage of the subsequent individual live demonstrations for an in-depth exchange with Hell staff.

The four product islands for the virtual drupa stand included three for gravure and one for the Hell flexo imaging and output device. At the HelioKlioschograph K5 Smart island, HD Gravure was presented with its quality-enhancing functions. On the second island, with the HelioKlioschograph K500, the focus was on automatic quality control with Certified Engraving.

The third island projected the Cellaxy direct laser which is positioning itself more and more as a future-proof high-end output machine for superior halftone and linework, including the possibility of producing embossing cylinders of the highest quality. The fourth island was used to show and demonstrate the PremiumSetter, an innovative laser engraving system for direct laser engraving of elastomer and photopolymer printing forms, such as printing plates for dry oﬀset, letterpress, flexographic printing, coating plates, and flexographic printing sleeves. This technology and device opens up an impressively wide range of relief printing applications for its users.

An outcome of the successful event is that from now on, Hell will offer its customers product presentations via online events as an alternative to visiting the location. Mobile transmission platforms that can be easily integrated into video conferences are available for this purpose.
