The 7th edition of India’s much-anticipated premier labels show, Labelexpo India, was inaugurated amid buzz and great expectations on the morning of 10 November 2022 at the India Expo Center in Greater Noida, located just across the Yamuna river in Delhi-NCR. The event was being organized after a gap of four years – the last edition was held in 2018.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Pradeep Saroha, event director, LabelExpo India, Andy Thomas-Emans, Strategic director of the Tarsus Labels Group, Rajesh Nema, president of the Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI), Jaideep Singh from Zodiac Printers Hyderabad and secretary of LMAI; Ravindra Joshi, president of the All India Association of Master Printers (AIFMP); Kamal Mohan Chopra, president of World Print and Communication Forum (WPCF); Chakravarthi AVPS, global ambassador of World Packaging Organization; Mohammad Shamsul Islam, proprietor of Sahittyo Bitan Press & Publications and senior vice chairman Printing Industries Association of Bangladesh; and Peter Deckker, president of Sri Lanka Association of Printers.

Pradeep Saroha, event director, LabelExpo India, said at the inauguration ceremony, “LabelExpo 2022 is our 7th edition of this show. We are truly excited to be back after a gap of four years at the India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida. LabelExpo is a show which keeps on growing every time we run. This year’s edition promises to be the largest yet in the region with more than 250 exhibitors, out of which 40 are first-timers, which means more buying and networking opportunities than ever before. The momentum behind this year’s show has been truly fantastic.”

Saroha said the theme this year was all about exploring the future of label printing as a reflection of the ever more futuristic and innovative label manufacturing machinery and products. “We also have digital embellishment trade with leading exhibitors exploring digital embellishment technologies, which is a growing segment for the industry. This year, we also have the Avery Dennison LMAI Label Awards night on the second day of the show, on 11 November at 6pm in Hall 8, to honor and recognize the most innovative label printing businesses in India.”

Rajesh Nema, president of the Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) added, “Exhibitions are a great source of sharing information, knowing latest technological updates, latest market trends apart from networking with industry colleagues. Team Tarsus is doing extremely well in organizing LabelExpo shows in Europe, United States of America and India. All our colleagues in labels and allied industries will benefit from what they witness and discuss in these four days. The Label Manufacturers Association of India and Tarsus corporation has been going strong from the last many years and it is becoming stronger with each passing year.”

The inauguration ended with the guests being honored on the stage, which was followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony. There were new exhibitors, live demos and new technology being showcased over the four days of the event.
