At Pamex 2024, Ahmedabad-based Excel Machinery, a manufacturer and exporter of flatbed automatic die-cutting (punching) machines for paper packaging providers for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food, and beverage industries, demonstrated live two automatic die-cutting machines and an automatic blanking machine, the Maxima BL 1080DH.
Its stand at the Bombay Exhibition Center saw a large number of visitors who inquired about the two die-cutting machines, the Maxima EXB35 (25×35 inches) and Maxima HS1020 (28×40 inches).
In an interaction, Jitendra Patel, managing director of Excel Machinery, said, “The automatic die-cutting machine is a fully oil bath machine with PLC (programmable logic controller), and auto feeder delivery system. The fully automatic feature of the machine gives the best quality for cutting, creasing, and embossing. The machine has full-proof safety for the operator.”
Starting with a hand-fed die-cutting machine in 1987, Excel Machinery introduced its first indigenous automatic die-cutting machine in India in 2005. It has installed more than 360 machines all over the country.
Patel takes pride in his machine’s technology with high productivity features. “The made-in-India machines have the perfect balance of price and quality output — targeting the Indian companies.” He said the Maxima HS1020, which was first manufactured four years ago, has been installed in 17 plants in India. In 2023, the company installed 29 Maxima EXB35, six Maxima HS1020, and six Maxima BL 1080DH machines.
In the exhibition, Excel Machinery closed two deals with Mayur Printers of Vasai and another company, whose name was withheld. Six more deals were in the pipeline.
