AIPIA, in conjunction with its partner Netpress, has announced the first comprehensive online course for the Smart Packaging Industry. Entitled ‘AIPIA Certification | Leveraging Sustainable Smart Packaging to Revolutionize Your Business,’ the course will be officially introduced by its author and creator Edson Perin, at the upcoming AIPIA/AWA World Smart Packaging Congress in Amsterdam from 23 & 24 June.

“Smart packaging represents one of the greatest business opportunities of the coming years, but it requires human vision to reach its full potential — even with the support of artificial intelligence (AI),” explained Perin. “AIPIA and Netpress offers the most comprehensive content on smart packaging, connecting you to digital materials that will empower you to compete in this new and hugely promising market,” he added.

Perin is a former editor of IoP Journal and RFID Journal, where he covered advances in intelligent packaging, supply chain automation, and emerging technologies. He has been recognized for his contributions to this field, receiving two GS1 Automation Awards and an AIM Global Award. 

Beyond journalism, he has traveled widely speaking about the impact of RFID, NFC and smart packaging on industries such as retail, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods.  He also develops eLearning courses and corporate training programs, with the best possible background to develop this exciting course.
