The Indian flexible packaging market continues to be bouyant with
capex spending for new hi speed presses, laminators, slitter rewinders
and cylinder engravers. KGS had another successful year as the leading
distributer of gravure cylinder engravers with approximately 66% of the 30
engravers installed in the past year. In the past year it’s installations included
a direct laser engraver at Image Gravures at Chattral an hour away from

KGS has also sold its first Hell Premium Flexo S1700 direct laser engraver for elastromer sleeve flexo plates to Pinmark of Ahmedabad. The Hell Premium flexo is expected to be comissioned by Q1 of FY 18-19. There is great interest among flexo printers in
producing sleeve plates using locally produced elastomer sleeves.
