Primepak Limited Nigeria and Radiant Packaging UAE, part of the same packaging group, are aligning their international operations through the implementation of the Flexibiz ERP system, distributed by Kiran Consultants. The move reflects a broader strategy to combine manufacturing scale with process standardization, enabling tighter control across geographically dispersed facilities.

Primepak Limited Nigeria, acquired in 2025, serves as the group’s gateway to the West African market. The facility has been developed with a focus on integrated flexible packaging production, featuring four printing presses, five lamination machines, two blown film extrusion lines, and three pouching machines. With a production capacity of approximately 1,500 MT, the plant serves FMCG-driven sectors such as food, beverages, hygiene, and healthcare.

The plant’s infrastructure allows for end-to-end manufacturing. Blown film extrusion ensures in-house production of base films, reducing reliance on imports and improving consistency. The lamination lines support the creation of multi-layer structures essential for barrier performance and shelf life, while pouching lines convert these laminates into finished packaging formats. Recent investments in additional printing and blown film capacity have further enhanced throughput and process control.

The African flexible packaging market, where Primepak operates, is witnessing rapid growth driven by rising demand in FMCG and eCommerce. However, it remains cost-sensitive and faces challenges such as dependence on imported raw materials and limited recycling infrastructure. In response, the company is focusing on localized production, the gradual adoption of recyclable and mono-material films, and has also developed tube laminates.

Radiant Packaging UAE, established in 2017, operates in a structured and technology-driven environment. The facility has a production capacity of around 900 MT and is equipped with two printing presses, four lamination lines, along with pouching and blown film capabilities. The company serves similar end-use sectors but with a stronger emphasis on premium applications and regulatory compliance.

The UAE unit has invested in specialized technologies such as cold seal packaging, laser scoring and advanced coating solutions for healthcare and high-performance packaging. Infrastructure expansion has been undertaken to accommodate these applications, reflecting the Middle East market’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and efficiency. Radiant has also invested in new lamination and blown film lines.

Flexibiz ERP platform

While both companies differ in market dynamics, the need for operational consistency led to the adoption of the Flexibiz ERP platform. Prior to implementation, many processes across the group were managed manually or through spreadsheets, limiting visibility and making it difficult to coordinate between departments and locations.

The ERP system was introduced to bring all core functions—sales, stores, production, dispatch, accounts, and management—onto a single platform. The objective was to improve control over daily operations, strengthen reporting, and create a structured system capable of handling increasing business volumes.

The system currently supports a comprehensive set of modules, including sales order management with approval workflows, inventory and stores control, purchase and material receipt (MRN), production and work order management, dispatch and invoicing, job work tracking, customer returns, quality control, and management reporting. It also provides integration with accounting systems, ensuring smooth data exchange and financial reconciliation.

A key reason for selecting Flexibiz ERP was its ability to be customized for packaging-specific requirements. The system has been tailored to incorporate bill of materials (BOM)-based material control, production process alignment, job work valuation, and detailed reporting. It also enables backward lot traceability, allowing the tracking of materials through every stage of production.

Implementation of the ERP was completed in around three months, followed by continuous fine-tuning of modules and processes. During the initial phase, challenges emerged around user adoption and maintaining data discipline, as teams transitioned from manual practices to system-based operations. However, with training and regular follow-up, the system has been embedded into daily workflows.

Post-implementation support from Kiran Consultants has been a critical factor in ensuring the system’s effectiveness. Ongoing assistance includes user guidance, issue resolution, report modifications, and minor customization. This continuous support has allowed the ERP to evolve alongside operational needs.

The transition has led to significant organizational changes. Departments that previously operated in silos are now interconnected, resulting in improved coordination between sales, planning, procurement, stores, production, dispatch, and accounts. The system has introduced user-level accountability and ensured that all transactions are recorded and traceable.

From an operational standpoint, the ERP has improved stock visibility, production tracking and order management. Features such as sales-to-dispatch tracking, BOM-based inventory control, work order management, and approval workflows have strengthened process discipline. Management now has access to real-time reports, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.

Although quantifiable metrics such as waste reduction or efficiency gains are still being assessed, the companies report clear improvements in tracking, control, and reporting. More importantly, the ERP provides a scalable framework to support future growth, allowing the group to manage higher volumes, more customers, and increased product complexity.

By combining advanced manufacturing infrastructure with the Flexibiz ERP backbone, Primepak Limited Nigeria and Radiant Packaging UAE are building a unified, process-driven operation. This integration not only enhances current efficiency but also positions the group to respond effectively to evolving demands in the global flexible packaging industry.
