The Ipack-Ima and Pharmintech 2025 shows on Milan, Italy, will feature more than 30 events across two halls with over 60 confirmed speakers. The program runs from 27 to 30 May at Fiera Milano, focusing on packaging, processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, regulation, and supply chain topics.

The events are split between the Innovation Space and Tech Space and include conferences, talks, and panel discussions.

Highlights of Day 1 (27 May) include:

  • WorldStar Packaging Awards Press Conference, presented by the World Packaging Organisation.
  • A panel on Sustainable Packaging: Protecting Food, Safeguarding the Planet, featuring experts from Tecnoalimenti, MondelÄ“z, GB Foods, TÜV SÜD and Barilla.
  • A Leader’s Talk with Giuseppe De Filippi (TG5) and Matthias Gasser (Menz & Gasser).
  • Regulatory insights during PPWR and Circular Packaging: Turning Regulations into Solutions, with speakers from Innovhub SSI, Giflex, EUROPEN and Istituto Italiano Imballaggio.

Pharmintech’s sessions open in Hall 2 with ‘The evolution of biotech medicines,’ moderated by Sole24Ore’s Ilaria Vesentini, followed by discussions on global trade, packaging trends and geopolitics.

Day 2 (28 May) features sessions such as:

  • The MAGNO Project, which showcases digital solutions tackling food packaging pollution.
  • A spotlight on Women in Packaging, sharing stories of leadership and success.
  • A session on Flexible Packaging, organized in collaboration with Giflex.
  • Pharmaceutical advancements, including Emerging Technologies in Pharma Production and the Best Packaging Awards

On Day 3 (29 May), discussions will pivot toward:

  • Cybersecurity in packaging machinery and smart machines.
  • A session on Italian machinery and the US market.
  • Talks on recycled plastics, bio-based materials, and paper applications
  • A provocative closing debate on Insects vs Innovation and the future of food-grade packaging regulations.

Day 4 (30 May) rounds off with:

  • Technology in action, led by Omron, Microsoft, UCIMA and others
  • The Progetto Scuole initiative and Balluff Awards, recognizing young talent and innovation
