Heidelberg India has completed the installation of the country’s first MK Masterwork Ecocut 106 CS die-cutting and stripping machine at Saroj Art Printers in Mumbai. The company, which focuses on pharmaceutical packaging and printing, has added the new system to strengthen its post-press operations and improve precision in folding carton production.
Saroj Art Printers operates a facility dedicated to manufacturing monocartons and folding cartons for domestic and multinational pharmaceutical clients. The Ecocut 106 CS is designed for medium-run offset packaging jobs that require high accuracy and consistency.
The machine combines die-cutting and stripping in a single process and includes a built-in stripping station to remove internal waste automatically. Its non-stop feeder and delivery systems allow continuous sheet handling and in-line inspection, aimed at reducing downtime and material wastage. The model also supports quick makeready, helping manage shorter production runs more efficiently.
The Ecocut 106 CS is compatible with a variety of substrates, from thin paper to heavy board, providing flexibility for different packaging requirements. Heidelberg India supplied the system and will continue to provide technical and after-sales support.
With the addition of the Ecocut 106 CS, Saroj Art Printers expects to enhance operational efficiency and maintain compliance standards required in pharmaceutical packaging. The installation marks the first deployment of this model in India and aligns with Heidelberg’s objective of expanding access to advanced post-press technology in the country’s packaging sector.
