Bostik, the adhesive solutions segment of Arkema, has introduced ADCOTE as the main brand for flexible material laminating adhesives and coatings.
Given the acquisition of Dow’s laminating adhesives and coatings business, Bostik’s flexible materials portfolio significantly expanded. This evolution marks an important milestone in its development and strengthens its ability to address flexible materials market needs, whether in flexible packaging or in industrial applications, with a broader and more integrated offer, the company stated.
To reflect this new dimension and bring greater clarity to its partners, such as customers or other players in the flexible materials industry, Bostik’s flexible materials brands will be unified under one name: ADCOTE.
ADCOTE is a complete portfolio of laminating adhesives and coatings for flexible materials, designed to deliver reliable, fit-for-purpose and more sustainable solutions with local relevance, globally, and driven by strong collaboration with partners to deliver growth.
As a long-standing player in the industry, Bostik has built a strong legacy through names such as Herberts, M-Resin, and Turbo-Seal. The integration of Dow’s laminating adhesives and coatings portfolio has further enriched this heritage, notably with well-established brands like ADCOTE and Mor-Free, the company said.
“This transformation is a strategic step to better represent its offering today, bringing together its expertise under one consistent and recognizable brand, while maintaining the same standards of performance and reliability its customers expect,” it said.
Why ADCOTE?
ADCOTE has been on the market for over 50 years and is a trusted name in flexible material adhesives and coatings. Recognized across the industry for its laminating adhesive and coating solutions, it reflects the breadth of Bostik’s technologies, covering both segments.
Because of its strong legacy, combined with its ability to represent a broad scope of these solutions, Bostik has decided to make ADCOTE the branded choice to unify and express the portfolio worldwide.
The portfolio, it says, covers key technologies, including solvent-based, solvent-free, and water-based laminating adhesives as well as sealing solutions such as heat seal, cold seal, and reseal, complemented by functional coatings.
This integrated approach helps Bostik support converters, film producers, and other industry players with complete solutions.
“This commitment translates into delivering not only high and consistent performance, but the right performance—solutions precisely adapted to applications, supporting operational efficiency, and optimized cost-in-use, backed by strong technical expertise and dedicated customer service. At the same time, Bostik’s global presence is not only about worldwide coverage, but also about being right where customers are—local teams bringing market knowledge, regulatory understanding, and responsiveness to deliver the exact solution in the exact place it is needed—today and tomorrow,” it says.
