Apart from meeting existing clients, the Noida-based Creative Graphics, a known name in the flexo printing segment, is looking at tapping new players and smaller label printers in regions that may not have fully explored in the past, at the Labelexpo show in Greater Noida.
“We have seven sites spread over Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Noida, Baddi, and Kolkata, but we may be missing out on converters located between these geographies, and want to tap them too,” Sanjay Sakalley, director, Creative Graphics Premedia, said, expecting a very good response at the event to be held from 10 to 13 November.
The company will be present at Hall no. 7, Booth no. P1.
“We definitely expect the regular industry players to attend the show, but there have been several entrants and acquisitions from allied industries such as flexible packaging converters, offset carton manufacturers, and even from outside the industry. We are eager to meet them too. We have gravure converters and offset printers that have adopted or will adopt flexo as an alternative technology. We would like to support these initiatives too by connecting with them during the show.”
Besides networking, Creative Graphics will present high-quality flexo plates, and highlight its DigiFlow and PureFlexo technologies for creating flat-top dots with enhanced print quality.
Initially headquartered in Noida, Creative has over the past few years developed into a multi-location entity across the country.
“We have the biggest footprint among flexo trade shops in India now. We have continued to invest and upgrade our technologies. We will be offering printing sleeves for continuous printing, to overcome the plate-gap issue in flexo plates. We have started our own pre-media services, wherein we can support brand owners and printers right from the design stage itself till the final printing,” Sakalley said.
The printing and packaging industry in general in India, and the label segment in particular, have been consistently growing at double-digit numbers despite the lockdowns, Sakalley said.
“We expect the same growth pattern to continue in the future. Converters are also using wider “narrow-web” presses to produce flexible packaging laminates and mono-cartons, thus increasing the gamut of flexo label printing. On the other hand, the conversion from shrink-sleeve labels (mainly printed by gravure) to PSL (pressure-sensitive labels, mostly flexo-printed) continues to happen, which augurs well for the label industry,” Sakalley said.
The company is upbeat about this year’s event. “At the last edition of Labelexpo India in November 2018, we had a full house. Now that there are no health risks in terms of traveling and meeting people, we expect a very good response, especially since the show now is happening after a gap of 4 years,” Sakalley concluded.
