Ahmedabad-based Acme Rolltech promoted its film coating applications and displayed samples of its CI flexo anilox sleeves at K 2022 held from 19 to 26 October in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Founded in 2018, Acme Rolltech is the first Indian company to manufacture new ceramic rolls and sleeves, refurbish old rolls, offer cleaning solutions and roll auditing services. The company caters to a varied markets segment and industries such as narrow web flexo, offset coating, corrugation, CI flexo, and specialty coating applications.

“At K 2022, we displayed a few samples of the CI flexo sleeves that we manufacture at our plant in Gujarat. Our aim of being at K 2022 was to tell the world that an Indian company is also manufacturing quality CI flexo sleeves. We began manufacturing CI flexo sleeves in 2019. We are so far the only Indian company manufacturing sleeves in India. When it comes to film coating applications, we are working with some of the biggest film manufacturers in India,” says Sandeep Sharma, director, Acme Rolltech.

The company recently expanded its manufacturing capacity by investing in a new engraving machine and post-processing equipment. “Recently we commissioned our second engraving machine that helped us double our capacity. Previously, we used to manufacture about 200 to 225 rolls and sleeves per month and now we are able to do about 450 sleeves and rolls per month. We received a very positive response from the industry to our solutions and that is why we went for the expansion,” Sharma says.

Happy to be at K for the first time

This was the first K show for Acme Rolltech and the company had a rewarding experience with a good number of visitors and feedback. “The locations of our stand could have been better but that is just a minor issue. Although we were not there in last K, what we hear is that the number of visitors is sharply lower than in 2019. Nevertheless, for us this has been a good show with very high quality footfalls. In fact, many visitors came to our stand specially to meet us. Also, we were at K to look for agents. We have agents in Middle East, African and Mexico. Now we want to have an agent for the European and Asian markets and in this respect too, we received a meaningful response,” Sharma says.
