ACE – Advanced Channel Engravings

At Sri Lanka Print 2026, Acme Rolltech showcased its latest anilox technologies and reported strong engagement from both existing customers and new prospects.

Acme Rolltech, which participated in the show’s 2023 edition, returned this year to strengthen its foothold in the region. According to Sandeep Sharma, director at Acme Rolltech, the positive experience last time encouraged the company to participate once again.

“We got a very good response and that’s why we exhibited this year. The response was great from existing customers. We received many inquiries from new customer engagements,” said Sharma.

Acme Rolltech showcased its Made-in-India anilox sleeves for the wide web CI flexo industry along with its speciality anilox portfolio for the narrow web segment. A key highlight was the company’s ACE (Advanced Channel Engraving) technology, which attracted considerable attention.

“Our ACE – Advanced Channel Engraving, which provides the advantages of both worlds—exceptional halftone printing like hexagon and good ink density of channel—has received tremendous response and we have received multiple orders from the market. Customers now understand the technical importance of this engraving technology rather than just relying on one structure. We give this anilox in all LPI-BCM values,” Sharma said.

Comparing the Indian and Sri Lankan markets, Sharma noted that while customer expectations vary, the demand for high-quality printing is common across both countries.

“Both markets are different. Expectations from customers are also different. A common factor is the requirement for high-quality printing. We are taking the initiative of coming to Sri Lanka and providing in-depth knowledge about anilox technologies, and customers are appreciating this effort,” he said.

Acme Rolltech sees significant long-term potential in Sri Lanka’s growing print and packaging industry. As part of its expansion strategy, the company plans to increase its engagement with customers through more frequent market visits.

“Yes, definitely, the Sri Lanka market is growing, and we are partnering with our Sri Lankan customers in this growth. Our visits to Sri Lanka will increase now to almost once in every quarter,” Sharma said.

Regarding global industry trends, Sharma pointed out that evolving press technologies are driving changes in anilox requirements across flexographic printing segments, prompting continuous innovation by the company.

“The demand for anilox across different printing segments such as narrow web, wide web, stack flexo, and corrugation is changing as the printing machine technology is changing very fast. Acme Rolltech is very well prepared and taking the lead in ensuring that we give our customers the best anilox technology available around the globe. Our new ACE – Advanced Channel Engraving is one such development,” he said.

Looking ahead, Acme Rolltech remains optimistic about its prospects in the Sri Lankan market. “The expectation is simple: we are going to dominate the Sri Lankan flexo market just as we are doing here in India,” Sharma concluded.
