At Bharat Print Expo 2025 in Bengaluru in April, Epson showcased its capabilities across multiple printing segments, including photo printers, on-demand color label printers, office and CAD printers, and a new range of eco-solvent signage printers.
The Epson stand emphasized that globally, inkjet has become the preferred choice over laser due to its sustainability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
“Right now, inkjet is the norm across the world. People prefer inkjet printers over laser printers because they are eco-friendly, have low power consumption, and have very low replacement costs in terms of machines. Inkjet is the future,” said Amit Sehgal, senior manager of large-format printers at Epson India.
Among the key products that drew attention was Epson’s on-demand color label printer, a solution increasingly adopted by customers looking for flexibility in packaging and branding. With growing market demand for customized, small-scale printing, Epson’s label printing technology is targeting customers who look forward to keeping less inventory with the flexibility of personalization.
“Customers don’t want to pile up inventory. On-demand label printing offers them just what they need, with the added advantage of customization,” Sehgal explained.
Epson highlighted the growing demand for outdoor branding, especially from FMCG, health, and pharmaceutical companies, a trend gaining traction in India’s tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Following the trend, Epson is investing in its signage printing portfolio to meet the increasing requirements of large-format printing.
“Whenever outdoor branding comes into play, signage becomes essential. With our new range of signage printers, we are introducing advanced color capabilities, aiming to cover 99% of the Pantone color gamut,” Sehgal added.
On the signage front, Epson is expanding its range to UV printers, according to the spokesperson. The team has already launched a flat-bed UV printing machine, which has been installed in cities such as Mumbai, Pune, and Gujarat. Epson, in the coming years, is launching new 4-color and 6-color eco-solvent signage printers, along with A3 and A4 UV printers for small-format studio applications.
With a wide range of product portfolio, Epson’s stand attracted a wide array of visitors ranging from business owners and signage professionals to photo studios and packaging providers. The three-day event attracted professionals from various verticals.
