BST Eltromat will showcase Alphamix and EagleEye at IndiaPlast 2019

Mumbai-based Indo-German joint venture company, BST eltromat India will participate in Indiaplast 2019 from 28 February to 4 March, at India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. Being a subsidiary of EMG Automation GmbH (Wenden / Germany), the company belongs to the elexis and SMS group. Since its inception in 1993, the company has been able to establish its strong presence in the Indian printing and packaging industry. Its products are used successfully around the world in printing, packaging, converting, paper and corrugation, woven and non-woven, tyre and steel industries. Headed by Tapan Pal, BST eltromat India has its manufacturing unit in Gujarat’s Anand. During the Indiaplast show, the company will be available at Hall 14, Stand B-38.

Talking about its objective behind participating at the Indiaplast show, the company says it is one of the best platforms to showcase its products. BST eltromat has been in the industry for more than 25 years and it is well known for its innovations and technical expertise in the industry. The company has developed a couple of innovative systems recently and plans to showcase these products during Indiaplast. The company plans to launch these systems and also meet new and existing customers at the upcoming B2B event.

At Indiaplast, BST eltromat India will showcase its Alphamix, a two component adhesive mixing and dispensing system, and EagleEye, a 100% web viewing line scan camera.

After successfully displaying Alphamix and EagleEye at ArabPlast 2019 in Dubai, BST eltromat will be demonstrating these systems in India for the first time. The company says that it expects to get a positive feedback from its customers. It is also planning to display a solvent-less machine, powered by BSTe India Automation and AlphaMix will be installed on the same.

Alphamix is a state-of-the-art two component adhesive mixing and dispensing system with self-calibration which ensures zero de-lamination. The system also calculates and displays actual coating GSM along with all critical information on one HMI. It provides roll / job wise reporting and ensures precise temperature and weight control. Alphamix system also calculates weight of adhesive in real-time. According to BSTe India, this system will revolutionize the lamination process and in future it aims to standardize this system with all the lamination machines.

Another innovative system that BSTe India will have on display is the EagleEye, which is a smart system for spectacular results. This 100% web viewing system enables a press operator to get a complete overview of the web repeat at all times. Equipped with a modular design and high-speed image capturing due to 7,300 pixel high resolution line chip camera, EagleEye is ideal for web width up to 2,800 mm using multiple cameras and press speeds of 600 meters per minute. It has a camera with a resolution of 132 DPI and tri-linear RGB true color line sensor. It also facilitates fast remote maintenance for easy and immediate diagnosis.

The company believes that trade shows work as a platform to showcase latest know-how in the industry. It also helps a company to identify customers’ requirements and enables it to know about competitive products from others which in turn helps it to focus on improving its strengths/solutions and work on weaknesses. Trade shows also give a better reach and access to the industry at large.

Referring to the future of the Indian flexible packaging industry, BST eltromat India says that since many Indian states are putting a ban on the use of plastics, it is going to be a challenging situation. Many small-scale companies are already facing the heat of the issue. However, it would also open doors for alternatives/substitutes for plastics and it is very important to adapt this change in the technology and offerings to the customers.

The company says it would target the OEMs of flexography/rotogravures printing machines, flexible film manufacturers, paper and corrugation manufacturers and converters during the show. It also expects a good footfall during the show and welcomes visitors and prospective customers to experience the company’s innovations at Indiaplast 2019.

Packaging South Asia — resilient, growing and impactful — daily, monthly — always responsive

The multi-channel B2B in print and digital 17-year-old platform matches the industry’s growth trajectory. The Indian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Middle East packaging industries are looking beyond the resilience of the past three years. They are resuming capacity expansion and diversification, with high technology and automation in new plants and projects.

As we present our 2024 publishing plan, India’s real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2024 will exceed 6%. The packaging industry growth will match the GDP growth in volume terms and surpass it by at least 3% in terms of nominal growth allowing for price inflation in energy, raw materials, consumables, and capital equipment.

The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 45% over the past four years. With orders in place, we expect another 20% capacity addition in 2024 and 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels are grown similarly. As the consumption story returns over the next six months, we expect demand to return and exceed the growth trajectory of previous years. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – and as shown by our analytics, our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.

For responsible and sustainable packaging, with its attendant regulations and compliances, there is significant headroom to grow in India and the region. Our coverage includes the entire packaging supply chain – from concept to shelf and to waste collection, sorting, and recycling.

We target brand owners, product managers, raw material suppliers, packaging designers and converters, and recyclers. This is a large and complex canvas – the only thing that can work is your agile thinking and innovation together with our continuous learning and persistence.

The coming year looks to be an up year in this region, and this is the right time to plan your participation and marketing communication – in our rich and highly targeted business platform with human resources on the ground. Share your thoughts and plans and to inspire and mobilize our editorial and advertising teams!
