L to R – V. B. Sridharan, Managing Partner, R. S. Graphics Printing & Packaging and Jun Sudo, President, Komori India

Dusseldorf 7 June 2024 – In a press release dated 4 June 2024, Komori says it has achieved much during drupa24, Including significant sales of presses to key customers from all over the world, and many from India. Chennai-based RS Graphics is one among those key buyers of first a Komori press at the Dusseldorf event.

RS Graphics, a five-decade-old commercial printing and packaging converter known for the production of print and packaging products such as marketing collateral, labels, cartons, and tags, for customers from diverse sectors, has booked a new Komori Lithrone GL740+C UV IR – a 7-color plus coater 40-inch press with UV and IR curing. “This is the first brand new Komori press to be installed at our production facility,” reveals VB Sridharan, managing partner at RS Graphics.

He explains, “After our extensive search for an offset press capable of boosting print quality to a new level, we eventually embarked on the purchase of a Komori Lithrone GL740 with UV coater. We pre-planned the purchase to be made at drupa 2024. We specifically chose this press because its features and capacity suitably matched our requirements. Speed, print quality and its overall productivity make the Komori GL740 an ideal choice for us.”

The Komori Lithrone GL740 prints at a maximum printing speed of 16,500 sheets an hour, stably handling a broad range of ultra-thin and thick sheets up to 750  x1050 mm. Jitender Rohilla, general manager Sales of Komori India, says RS Graphics’ purchase of its first Komori press at drupa24 signifies the value and trust customers from India place in the brand and its presses.

RS Graphics has comprehensive equipment for pre-press, press and post-press, with devices and machines from Kodak, Heidelberg, Mitsubishi, Zhongke, Esko, and Bobst at its state-of-the-art 90,000 square foot facility. “After all, our new Komori Lithrone GL740 is to boost our UV printing to higher grammage substrates,” concludes Sridharan. Komori’s key products and innovations were presented in Hall15 Stand E2 at drupa.
