It will also announce new models of offset presses and digital machines.
“During the 100th anniversary celebrations last year, we defined our purpose as ‘delivering Kando. beyond expectations’ by contributing to society with print technology. We are determined to evolve toward the future while adapting to the changes of the times. Over the next 100 years, we will develop new technologies and products that surpass expectations along with appropriate and prompt service to ‘deliver Kando beyond expectations’,” Satoshi Mochida, representative director, president and CEO.
“Count on Komori as we race toward our next big goal, uniting as one to become a 200-year-old company. We are looking forward to seeing you at the venue,” says Mochida.
Connected Automation
According to the company, the printing industry has undergone rapid change in recent years. The influences of social media, online advertising, rising raw materials and energy prices as well as a shortage of labor, have become critical issues. Because of spreading global environmental concerns, reducing environmental impact, decarbonization, and waste management have become urgent challenges. To address these worldwide issues, Komori will show a wide range of technology with the theme of Connected Automation.
Connected Automation is a method that enhances the automation of operations by establishing a production site that links different devices from many sources and removes barriers between processes. The core system, KP-Connect, facilitates visibility, automation, and streamlining of the production site by connecting all equipment, from MIS to prepress, press, and post-press systems. This leads to the optimization of the entire process, ultimately maximizing productivity and profitability.
Komori says its printing presses have been updated to have a low environmental impact. Through improved controls, automation of quality inspections, robot logistics, as well as energy saving and paper waste reduction technologies, Komori says it promotes the construction of a smart factory that features safe and environmentally friendly operations for everyone.
At Drupa 2024, Komori will show for the first time a new environmentally friendly offset press and a next-generation digital printing machine. Visitors will get to see a seamlessly connected smart factory utilizing Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) to link prepress and press as well as post press that incorporates MBO folding machines and the MBO CoBo-Stack collaborative robot.
Print technology will continue to evolve. Komori, with expertise in offset and digital print, post-press, and the technology to connect them all, will lead the industry with ultimate solutions that protect the precious time of printing companies and the environment while enhancing client trust.
Jitender Rohilla, general manager, sales, Komori India, said the world is looking at the Indian market as one of the fastest-growing markets in the packaging and printing industries globally.
“We are very excited and ready to serve the industries with our existing and new launches (an offset press and digital inkjet press will be launched at Drupa). Both the new launches are being developed to keep the present scenario in mind from the brands and packaging convertors’ side. Recently, we attended Pamex 2024, where we closed multiple deals on 21 printing presses. One higher than Pamex 2023. Similarly, Komori India along with Komori Corporation is working hard to offer relevant products and services per customers’ demand. We are committed to the environment and our solutions are being developed to keep green and sustainable operations in concern. Thus, our existing and new products will be more application-oriented and pro-environment friendly production.”
