Delhi-based Ajit Industries Private Limited, a leader in manufacturing and marketing pressure-sensitive self-adhesive industrial tapes, and die-cuts in India, recently participated in Interpack 2023 in Dusseldorf. The company showcased its range of sustainable tapes, which received a positive response from visitors.

Ajit Industries highlighted its environment-friendly tapes at the event, including those made from recycled materials. It launched paper tapes and is working on developing biodegradable tapes to further enhance its sustainable offerings.

Overseas customers showed great interest in these eco-friendly tapes, and the company hopes to receive a similar response from Indian customers in the future. Many Indian exporters are already seeking sustainable tapes to meet the growing demand for environmentally conscious packaging materials,” said Ajit Kumar Gupta, managing director, Ajit Industries.

The packaging industry plays a significant role in Ajit Industries, contributing approximately 25% of the company’s turnover. With a turnover of $94 million last year, the packaging sector holds substantial importance for the company. Participating in Interpack allowed Ajit Industries to showcase its products and connect with industry professionals from around the world.

First Interpack for the company

This was Ajit Industries’ first participation in Interpack, as its initial plans to exhibit in the 2020 edition were disrupted due to the pandemic as the show was canceled. However, the company opted to carry over its participation to the 2023 edition and secured a favorable booth location.

The response received at the event was encouraging, and the company emphasized the importance of being present at Interpack to expand their global market reach and stay updated on the latest industry developments. We are thankful to the organizers who allocated us a good location. Interpack is the world’s biggest packaging expo and companies who want to expand in the global market need to be here. At present, exports make up a small portion of our business but we want to expand that and hope this platform helps us in doing that,” Gupta said.

Overall, Ajit Industries’ presence at Interpack 2023 provided them with valuable networking opportunities and allowed them to showcase their sustainable tape solutions to a global audience.
