Mumbai-based label printer and convertor Mudrika Labels displayed a wide range of labeling solutions at Interpack 2023. The company has displayed samples of pressure-sensitive, heat transfer and in-mold labels at its stand.

We export a lot of our products but now we want to further expand our presence in the global market and that is why we are at Interpack. This was our second time at the show and we have had a great experience. In the last couple of years, there has been a ‘China plus One’ theme where global companies want to diversify their sourcing away from China. We want to capitalize on this opportunity. That is why platforms such as Interpack are important,” said Manish Desai, one of the directors of Mudrika Labels.

Talking about the kind of visitors he met, Desai says that the best part of Interpack is that it attracts a lot of end users.

Interpack is not just a place to sign deals. It is more than that. The show helps us promote our brands and meet potential customers from across the globe. Even if we do not sign any deals, Interpack helps us communicate with visitors, who may become our customers in a year’s time. We also get to see what global companies are doing,” Desai says.

Indian market is booming

Desai says that although Mudrika is trying to expand its exports, the company’s focus area remains the Indian market, which is growing at a fast pace.

I believe the Indian packaging industry will have one of its best decades in the next 10 years. We will see a lot of investments and innovation in the Indian packaging and labeling industry,” he says.
