At this year’s Labelexpo India, Monotech had two stands – one displaying the various products of the companies that Monotech represents and the other showing Monotech’s own range of products. At the stand dedicated for its partners, Monotech displayed a 6-color Focus label press as well as a Labelmen. “Labelmen is a recent association for us; they are one of the market leaders in intermittent offset and CI letterpress segments,” says TP Jain, managing director of Monotech Systems.

At the event, Monotech launched three new solutions. “The first and foremost is our 4-color label press. In addition to that we have launched a high-speed industrial inkjet press, which can run at 300 m per minute and is targeted at the newspaper and packaging segments. Finally, we have also launched a monochrome plastic card printing solution. Going forward, we would be releasing a color version of the monochrome press,” says Jain. Monotech also displayed a new variant of its highly successful Jetsci VRI, which can print two colors with
security inks. In addition to that, the company displayed samples of its Scodix and Highcon. Jain informs that Scodix is now entering into the offset and packaging market.

We just completed the first installation of Focus label press in Mumbai and currently we are working on several projects for label presses. Labelmen is, of course, a recent launch and we are seeing a good response and interest for Labelmen,” he shares. “As far as our industrial inkjet solution is concerned, we are gaining strength in terms of increased installations. I am pretty sure that we will be able to have a good placement for this product range. In any case the future is inkjet, where we have very strong domain knowledge as far as technology is concerned and we are constantly working on new products.”
