The upcoming LMAI Conference 2019 will be a world-class event in terms of the venue, content, participants and networking opportunity, Manish Desai, chairman of the organizing committee told Packaging South Asia.
“This time the theme of the conference is ‘Future Next’ with some very interesting topics to be discussed. The aim of the conference is to tell the delegates where the industry is headed when it comes to technology and innovation. You will see something new this time and delegates will have a totally different experience,” says Desai.
Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) promotes label manufacturers and their suppliers across India. LMAI Conference, held every two years, is the biggest event in the Indian label industry.
The conference, which will be held at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Kochi from 25-28 July, has generated a very encouraging response with 28 companies having become sponsors for the event. Avery Dennison is the platinum sponsor, SMI Coated Products and Pulisi Intergraphic are diamond sponsors while Gallus, Vinsak India, HP India, Domino Printech India and Macdermid are gold sponsors.
There are 13 silver sponsors, namely JN Arora, Numex Blocks, Apex Asia, Flint Group, Multitec Aids, Loparex India, Inter Films India, FIG, Insight Print Communications, Baldwin Vision, GEW, Reifenhauser India and Rotomec India. There are seven bronze sponsors — Weldon Celloplast, Shandilya Sons, Cosmo Films, IEEC Power Electronics, Linttec India, Acme Rolltech and Huber Group India.
Encouraging new and small label printers to attend
According to Desai in the last two years, more than 50 new label printers have entered the industry. An important aim for the organizing committee will be to make sure large numbers of these new printers attend the conference, says Desai.
“Both new and small printers will find the conference very interesting. These printers will get to know what is happening in the industry; they can interact with various suppliers and industry stakeholders. It will be a very important platform for them to network,” Desai adds.
In order to make more and more smaller printers aware about the LMAI Conference 2019, the organizing committee will be holding road shows, mostly in the second-tier cities.
“We will be organizing multiple road shows in north, south, east and west India with focus on second-tier cities. We are sure we will get a large number of attendees this time. I am confident this year’s event will be the best attended LMAI Conference ever,” Desai concludes.
