At PackPlus, Packaging South Asia is also participating and will be exhibiting its magazines and supplements at Stand M7. Packaging South Asia is always concerned for its readers and keeps them updated with whatever is happening around the packaging industry. This time also, we are keen to know who the exhibitors are, what they have on display, and their excitement level for the event. So, we tried to connect with some of the exhibitors like Acumen Packaging, Mahisa, Valco Melton, and Natraj Industries.

While speaking with Mahisa about their display and the expectations, we learned about their innovations and vision for the industry. The company said, “At the exhibition, we are displaying our products EcoPlus, EcoStar, SpeedPack,  SmartPlot with their live demos. We will be present at Stall A225 at PackPlus. We have been participating at PackPlus for many years, and it has always been a positive experience. This year we hope for the same as this is one of the first major exhibitions in the post Covid period. We hope to connect with new potential clients. And, with sustainability gaining importance, we see that the packaging industry is up for a revolution and will see drastic changes. The packaging industry will play a major role in the sustainability movement.”

Valco Melton India shared with Packaging South Asia, “We are displaying our innovative and customer-friendly products with cutting edge technology at the Stand A2. We are excited to meet the industry, our customers, and prospects, we are displaying eco stitch technology and auto feeder hot melt system. We are so excited to show our new technology to the customers and make sure they take the advantage of our new technology and save the cost of adhesives. Our booth is strategically positioned for our customers to see our products on display (as the saying goes – ‘seeing is believing’). We are excited to meet them.

“We are confident that future of packaging is only going to grow exponentially at a steady pace with our innovative products mentioned above. eCommerce is creating new opportunities, we are happy to be the market leader in adhesive systems on the eCommerce packaging.”

The Covid-19 pandemic led to the country-wide lockdown on 25 March 2020. It will be two years tomorrow as I write this. What have we learned in this time? Maybe the meaning of resilience since small companies like us have had to rely on our resources and the forbearance of our employees as we have struggled to produce our trade platforms.

The print and packaging industries have been fortunate, although the commercial printing industry is still to recover. We have learned more about the digital transformation that affects commercial printing and packaging. Ultimately digital will help print grow in a country where we are still far behind in our paper and print consumption and where digital is a leapfrog technology that will only increase the demand for print in the foreseeable future.

Web analytics show that we now have readership in North America and Europe amongst the 90 countries where our five platforms reach. Our traffic which more than doubled in 2020, has at times gone up by another 50% in 2021. And advertising which had fallen to pieces in 2020 and 2021, has started its return since January 2022.

As the economy approaches real growth with unevenness and shortages a given, we are looking forward to the PrintPack India exhibition in Greater Noida. We are again appointed to produce the Show Daily on all five days of the show from 26 to 30 May 2022.

It is the right time to support our high-impact reporting and authoritative and technical information with some of the best correspondents in the industry. Readers can power Packaging South Asia’s balanced industry journalism and help sustain us by subscribing.
