The countdown for Printpack India 2015 has started. The Indian Printing Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA) is enthused by the response of the printing and packaging industry for the 12th Printpack India exhibition to be held at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida from 11 to 15 February 2015. The gross area of the exhibition is more than 50,000 square metres.
IPAMA has organized more than 40 promotional meets which include road shows, press conferences and participation in overseas exhibitions like Print Pack Sign Expo in Kenya, interpack in Germany, All in Print China, K-Printin Korea, Print Technology in Malaysia and Bangladesh. Apart from the exhibition, there are two value additions inthe 12thPrintpack India – one is the NPESICC Colour Conference and second is a seminar on the web offset printing industry. Both these events will be addressed by prominent speakers from different institutions.

APL Machinery Hall 1 Stand A20 and A 30
APL Machinery will showcase the Dripp Off UV machine, which can do full coating on sheets. The machine which has a UV dryer with a conveyor and a delivery table for collecting sheets is ideal for UV coating and curing (hardening of coating by ultraviolet radiation) on digital prints. This fully automatic coating and curing machine is capable of UV and aqueous coating up to 1,500 sheets an hour. Moreover, on display will be the LED-UV system, fully auto UV coating and curing machines, screen printing machine with auto take off, UV dryer, auto stacker and the Digi UV machine for generating digital output.
Apsom Infotex Hall 7 Stand D2
Apsom Infotex will display the Polo XE, Soft Jet Grand and Verve printers from Color jet India whereas Roland DG will be showing its RF-640 and LEF-20 printers. The Polo XE with over 100 installations is a high-speed solvent printer, built on a heavy duty structure with printheads from Konica Minolta. The Color jet R&D combines performance with economy. The Soft Jet Grand is a 3.2 metre high-speed direct-to fabric printer, which can be configured with various ink options –disperse, pigment, reactive and acid for the user to meet diverse fabric print needs. Verve is a flat bed UV printer, which can print on a rigid surface. It supports a white ink option, enabling print on clear or dark surfaces.
The VersaExpress RF-640Ais Roland’s adaptable 1,625 mm (64-inch) wide printer using eco-solvent inks to meet market demand for both outdoor and indoor graphics. Engineered for long, unattended production runs, the RF-640A features Roland’s latest printhead technology which reproduces the finest details with vibrant, high-density color. The LEF-20 can print directly on materials such as acrylic, wood, board, paper, card, PET, ABS, PVC, polycarbonate and other plastics as well as soft materials like leather and fabric.
AS Print Aids Hall 1 Stand A4
AS Print Aids will be showcasing Hunkeler’s pre and post digital finishing systems for alltypes of continuous feed printers for books-on-demand and print-on-demand, web finishing and direct mail applications; lamination equipment and silkscreen machines from Ecosystem; a full range of diecutting products from CITO; Martin Miller’s steel rules; rule bending machines from Richly Top; printing ancillaries from the Tresu Group; DRD’s samplemaker, waterjet systems and pertinax; Cutlite Penta’s laser cutting systems; and, Kirk-Rudy’s innovation in inkjet printing and paper handling solutions.
Moreover, on display will be Drohmann’s flexible and solid dies; wrapping systems and packaging solutions from BUHRS; inserting systems from Winkler+Dünnebier; Nor Graphic’s nick-grinder and rotary waste stripper; cutting plates and stripping pins from Perivo BV and anti-marking jackets and orange hide sheets from Print Guard.
Bobst Hall 10 Stand F12
Bobst’s main thrust atPrintpack India 2015 will be to invite customers to its event – Open House Competence ‘15 which will be held in Pune from 26 to 28 February 2015, wherein it will be showcasing technologies like Novacut 106 ER, a new entry level in-line blanking machine, Expertfold + Accucheck, an in-line state-of-the-art inspection system and Lila II 145 forthe corrugated board and litho laminated boxes. The company’s main focus will be to demonstrate that automation is the key to be more cost-effective for profitable growth.
Boettcher India Hall 12 Stand H22
Boettcher India will be introducing the vita range of products, which meet the test criteria of the machine manufacturers and it is approved by the ISEGA. Vita products are appropriate for applications in food packaging printing.

Canon will display commercial and wide-format printing zones along with its Dreamlabo Gallery, Oce Arizona Gallery, Production Printing Zone and Solution Zone atPrintpack 2015. When it comes to personalizing security labels with variable information or frequently changing data Vinsak LVPI is the right solution. The machine offers reliability, flexibility and high performance with low cost of operation versus print quality with a variety of options in the inkjet printing systems, UV curing or IR dryer and inspection systems.

At Printpack 2015 Manroland India will showcase the Cromoman 4 x 1, a press which has especially been designed forIndian conditions and has been running at the Times ofIndia inPune and Kolkata.Also,the companywould behighlighting its digital finishing solution along with Printservice and press consumables. The main features of Cromoman are – a printing unit speed of 70,000 copies an hour, no need for air-conditioning, variable web width, powerfluctuation tolerance, and no web severance on powerfailure.

Manugraph Ecoline single tower with autopaster and folderManugraph India will display the Ecoline press which is a single-width, single circumference press for newspaper printing and offers 4-color printing on one operating level. Its compact footprint of 8.5 feet height and single level operation allows installation in pressrooms with minimum floor space and ceiling heights. Shorter web leads between printing provide better print quality, improved color registration and less waste. Introduced to the market in 2014,the press is available with a speed of 25,000 copies an hour.

Valco Melton India (VMI) will be displaying its microgluer family of small format folding and gluing machines designed to simplify and streamline the folding and gluing operation for mailing applications. Provin Technos’ Ryobi LED-UV Hall 1 Stand A19
At Printpack India 2015, Provin Technos, the Indian distributor of Ryobi MHI Graphic Technology, Japan, will unveilthe new versionof Ryobi’shighest selling 36- inch press in India. Ryobi MHI Graphic Technology is upbeat about the Indian market and this is evident from the fact that for the first time the world premiere of a product will be done outside Japan.
The new version of the Ryobi press with the LED-UV curing system will be shown running at Printpack 2015. The 920 series – 36-inch format of Ryobi is the most popular press in the 36-inch segment in India with more than 30 installations so far and is available with all possible configurations such as in-line coating, perfecting and automation. With a very small foot print for the control panel, the Ryobi LED-UV has press advantages like instant curing, nowarm-up or cooling time, latest-generation automation, broad substrate capabilities without heat generation or emission of ozone and very low power consumption – 15% compared to the conventional UV system. The LED-UV lamps quickly adjust to paper size and are claimed to yield more than 15 times the lifespan of conventional UV lamps.

The Ryobi 920 series press with theLED-UV curing system
Ronald Web Offset will be displaying the new design Ronald 4-Hi tower which is capable of high quality multicolor printing on various kinds of papers of different thickness, used in the newspaper and book printing industry. The tower can help a newspaper printer to save around 2.5% paper wastage while keeping the printing area more or less the same as before. The machine will occupy less space length wise since the 4Hi tower will be integrated with an auto reel paster. A heavy duty special folder which accepts up to eight webs for folding up to A3 size will be displayed.
SL Kulkarni Cyril Graphics Hall 10 Stand 10
SL Kulkarni CyrilGraphics (SLKCG) and sister company Sergusa Solutions will be participating in Printpack India 2015.SLKCG will not display any machines, but will showcase Goss International’s range of web offset products, Shengli’s range of postpress products for mono, duplex and corrugation cartons manufacturing and the Fuchu Shiko range of rigid box making machines with a variety of finished box samples.
Sergusa Solutions will showcase some machines – high-speed printing quality inspection for cartons as well as PDF verification and proofreading of large format printed sheets from Beijing Daheng Imaging. Sergusa Solutions will also introduce an ERP/MIS software product ‘Sol Print’ which has been developed in the UK and designed exclusively for the printing and packaging industry.
