Toss Machine Components, a manufacturer and distributor of advanced impulse heat sealing controls and components, will exhibit at booth S-3002 during Pack Expo International 2026, taking place from 18-21 October in Chicago, Illinois.
Toss will showcase its Pack Expo line of impulse heat seal controllers, including the Pack Expo-548 Touch-Screen Interface Terminal, Pack Expo C2 DIN rail mounted controllers and Pack Expo-545 panel mounted controller, along with its Toss Alloy-20 heat seal bands.
Visitors can test film on site with Toss Pack Expo heat sealers to find their perfect seal. Toss application experts will also be available to discuss sealing challenges and solutions for various applications.
The Pack Expo C2 line of impulse heat seal controllers measures voltage and current in the heating element to interpret resistance, which correlates to specific temperatures. This resistance-based approach delivers fast, accurate temperature measurement and process control without requiring thermocouples or RTDs during the sealing cycle.
The technology can help manufacturers reduce scrap, seal failures and downtime across applications such as vertical form/fill/seal, pouch filling, web splicing and film wrapping. Toss technology offers added sustainability to processes by only heating when needed and providing compatibility with more easily recycled mono-layer films.
The Pack Expo C2 line includes the C2-200 Analog Controller, C2-210 with PROFINET communication and C2-220 with ETHERNET/IP communication. The controllers are designed to provide reliable analog or advanced digital control while supporting integration into modern industrial networks.
Also on display, the Pack Expo-548 Touch-Screen Interface Terminal is a panel mounted, low voltage display designed to communicate directly with Pack Expo C2 controllers. It provides real-time graphical and numerical temperature displays, allows operators to set sealing temperature and supports calibration through the display. Optional thermocouple integration provides additional calibration options.
Toss will also feature the Pack Expo-545 panel mounted heat seal controller. Using the same resistance-based technology as the Pack Expo C2, the Pack Expo-545 adds an OLED display, timing functionality and integrated relays. It offers features including single- or multi-point temperature calibration, password security and a batch counter.
Alongside its controllers, Toss will showcase Toss Alloy-20 heat seal bands, engineered for durability and optimal heat transfer. Available in configurations for straight and contoured sealing requirements, Alloy-20 bands provide a modern alternative to conventional Nichrome ribbons for a broad range of packaging materials and sealing applications.
