Following its successful participation at the recently concluded Printpack 2019 show, Bobst will now be a part of Indiaplast exhibition, which takes place from 28 February to 4 March 2019 at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. The company says that its solutions for flexible packaging and labels will address the evolving market requirements through printing and converting technologies that are easy to use, qualitative, productive and sustainable. According to the company, Indiaplast visitors who are targeting sustainable growth through quality and innovation will find their match at its Stand C-11 in Hall 14.

The information available and the variety of samples on display produced in Bobst’s competence centers in Europe, will clearly illustrate the capabilities of the equipment to satisfy the market demand for added value applications and output quality. Bobst is a full chain supplier whose solutions encompass vacuum metallizing, gravure printing, CI and inline flexo printing, lamination and coating for a huge variety of applications in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, non-food and industrial goods sectors.

Alongside the equipment performance in terms of output quality and complexity, the interest will be on how Bobst platform solutions succeed in delivering value through functions and process work-flows that enable converting companies to reduce costs, improve time to market and meet their sustainability goals.

Nilesh Pinto, zone business director of web-fed business unit, Bobst India said, “We look forward to engage with visiting converters on industry trends and topics that are at the heart of industry changes. Points of focus will be high barrier functionality in packaging substrates, their machinability and recyclability, the extended color gamut process in wide-web CI flexo printing, and the importance of Bobst equipment automation and connectivity features in terms of production process consistency and repeatability, monitoring, and future developments.”

The Covid-19 pandemic led to the country-wide lockdown on 25 March 2020. It will be two years tomorrow as I write this. What have we learned in this time? Maybe the meaning of resilience since small companies like us have had to rely on our resources and the forbearance of our employees as we have struggled to produce our trade platforms.

The print and packaging industries have been fortunate, although the commercial printing industry is still to recover. We have learned more about the digital transformation that affects commercial printing and packaging. Ultimately digital will help print grow in a country where we are still far behind in our paper and print consumption and where digital is a leapfrog technology that will only increase the demand for print in the foreseeable future.

Web analytics show that we now have readership in North America and Europe amongst the 90 countries where our five platforms reach. Our traffic which more than doubled in 2020, has at times gone up by another 50% in 2021. And advertising which had fallen to pieces in 2020 and 2021, has started its return since January 2022.

As the economy approaches real growth with unevenness and shortages a given, we are looking forward to the PrintPack India exhibition in Greater Noida. We are again appointed to produce the Show Daily on all five days of the show from 26 to 30 May 2022.

It is the right time to support our high-impact reporting and authoritative and technical information with some of the best correspondents in the industry. Readers can power Packaging South Asia’s balanced industry journalism and help sustain us by subscribing.
