Manipal

Manipal International Printing Press has given a repeat order to VINSAK for installing a Lombardi Flexo Press along with VINSAK USAR Slitter Inspection rewinder at its plant in Nigeria. The repeat order follows the installation of similar machines at Manipal International Printing’s Kenya plant. Installations at Manipal Printing Press, Kenya include a 10-color Synchroline full servo UV Flexo press equipped with movable cold foil, chiller, two diecutting stations with easy waste, slitter, turn-bar, re-lam, de-lam, sheeter, conveyer, and lamination. The other important features are quality control, quick change over, ABS (Air Blade System) for pneumatic adjustment of the doctor blade and pre-register system. VINSAK has also installed USAR (Universal Slitter Rewinder) 530 and Thermal Inkjet System for variable data personalization.

Pritam Choudhary, director, Manipal Printing Press said, “Three months back, VINSAK installed all these machines at our Kenya plant. The combination of Synchroline with VINSAK USAR made a lot of our print jobs easier. We were able to print on diverse substrates with a quick turnaround time. But the main advantage was that we were able to explore more of Kenya’s packaging market as we can print on 12-micron film to 450 gsm boards. We wanted to expand our capacity of the Nigerian printing plant and hence decided to place a repeat order to VINSAK.”

Choudhary further added, “A machine worth millions becomes useless if you don’t have a good service backup. We are extremely happy with VINSAK for their active service and support systems and hope they continue to provide such quality products.” Speaking on the installations, Ranesh Bajaj, director, VINSAK said, “It’s a wonderful experience to know that years of planning and efforts have started paying off. We are extremely pleased to receive a repeat order from Pritam.”

He added, “It’s good to see a positive response from the printing industry for Synchroline Press and VINSAK USAR. We are continuously developing and adding new features to our star product VINSAK USAR. Last year also, we released more versions of the USAR to print on small wads and launched a new ‘USAR Lite.’ We hope to add more features and match the rising expectations of the packaging industry from VINSAK.”
