At Printpack India 2025 in Greater Noida, Multitec demonstrated its two flexo presses in the 450 mm and 670 mm range in its spacious and well-architectured stand. Amit Ahuja, managing director of Multitec explained that the 450 mm press is perfect for labels, shrink sleeves, and some flexible packaging, while the 670 mm press is aimed at flexible packaging.
“Both of these are dual servo presses with top-of-the-line automation and go up to 200 mpm production speed,” he said. Shown with full automation for makeready and including autoregister, the Multitec flexo presses are designed and built for high-value labels and flexible packaging.

The demos at the show running on 12-micron and higher-thickness films showed that Multitec’s S2 mid-web can print on various substrates including thin and extensible materials. Its intelligent digital controls for job changeover settings with pre-registering and auto-register were well appreciated by knowledgeable label converters visiting the show.
The way the dual servo works is that there are two servo motors on each of the print units – one servo is for the print cylinder and the second drives the chilled impression cylinder so that they are independently driven. The sensor-based electronic pre-register ensures that all print units are set to correct home positions without wasting material.
Multitec generally leads the industry in new technology adoption and implementation and in this vein, Ahuja mentioned that in its next development cycle, the company is working on its triple-servo press.
The Faridabad-based manufacturer has set new benchmarks in Indian manufacturing with 40% of its manufacturing being exported. Earlier exports were mainly to the African, West Asian, and Southeast Asian markets. Russia is also a substantial market for the flexo machine manufacturer with around 22 presses installed in that country.

“Our latest exports have been to Poland, Hungary, and Switzerland — giving us entry into mainland Europe in the last two years,” he said. Ahuja explained the recent penetration into European markets and their acceptance, will grow Multitec’s footprint and market share in that region.
On Printpack India, Ahuja said participating in the show was beneficial as the company was able to make some sales and gather more leads. Speaking about the packaging industry, he commented that the world is shifting to shorter runs. “The growing short-run demand is creating a market space for digital. However, this does not pose any threat to veteran flexo users. The future is hybrid production with the increasing demand for more automation features and quicker and more precise make-ready solutions, and that is where our mid-web technology comes in.”
