The new 3NCR reversible tri-valve non-contact glue station offers non-contact gluing for top-down and bottom-up applications, giving the box plant the ability to perform inside/outside glue joints using one glue station, installed on one side of the machine. The 3NCR is equipped with the 524 series valves to deliver fast, clean cut-off and long lasting nozzle/seat parts. Additional features also include a tool-less reversing mechanism for ultra-fast switching from inside to outside glue.
Defect-free corrugated boxes and folding cartons can be produced with Valco Melton’s range of vision monitoring and quality assurance equipment for verification of glue quality, inserts, windows, fold quality, 2D barcodes and more. There will be demos of the latest version of the ClearVision BoxChek7 camera-based inspection software. Designed for the converting industry, BoxChek 7 introduces a brand new way for users to interact with its system on a 22-inch touchscreen, which combines setup for gluing, as well as inspection of gluing, folding, print registration, barcodes, and scores.
Moreover, on display will be the OT-120 touchscreen pattern control and VCX companion box, an integrated glue control and inspection device that provides verification of glue lines, barcodes, color codes, flap lengths, and double feeds. There will also be live demos of the newly introduced PackChek camera inspection system that detects glue and other package characteristics after the glue is applied and the flaps are closed. For clear-to-clear applications, master roll transparent labels and flexible packaging, the ProClear coating station is an ideal choice. Featuring rotating bar technology, ProClear achieves uniform and streak-free coatings.
