Paras Printpack – a startup that deals mainly with startups

Paras Printpack is about two-and-a-half years old, having started operations in July 2014. Prior to its launch, the founder, Pradeep Jain, was partner in a company called Paras Packaging, for over 17 years where he mainly did job work for companies like Paharpur, Uflex and a few others. The job work involved mainly pouch-making, which brought in decent profits over the years and provided him the necessary financial stability to launch his own startup. Today, he focuses primarily on the food & beverages, pharmaceutical, confectionery, home care, personal care and automobile industries.

In a daytime function on 24 February 2017, Parksons Packaging inaugurated its fifth monocarton plant in the Sri City industrial township located about 90 kilometres north of Chennai. Board and team members, family and friends bore witness to the auspicious launch of another purpose-designed and comprehensively fitted factory. With an initial capacity of printing and converting 500 tonnes of board to monocartons each month, the capacity is expected to double by the end of the calendar year with the installation of a second Heidelberg CX 102 press.

Taurus orders 9-color rotogravure press

Taurus Packaging in Greater Noida has a strong vision. “Our vision is to make Taurus a 2,000 crore company by 2025. Now we do not just want to grow but to multiply,” said Chetan Jain, director at Taurus Packaging. The company has two plants in Noida—in Kasana and Toy City. “We have committed to ourselves to build our third plant anywhere in India but Noida. Our USP is to produce quality products with consistency every time and on time.” Today the company also manufactures OPS, PVC, PETG, PLA, LDPE shrink sleeve labels, BOPP wrap-on labels, printed bags and flexible laminates. Taurus is the first company in India to introduce LDPE stretch sleeve labels in India in 2011.
