Henkel Adhesives Technologies India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Henkel AG and Co. KGaA, today, announced the unveiling of its new production factory in Kurkumbh, near Pune. With a total investment of about 50 million (approximately Rs 400 crores), the company aims to serve the growing demand of Indian industries for high-performance solutions in adhesives, sealants, and surface treatment products. The Henkel Kurkumbh manufacturing site will be formally inaugurated on 5 February 2020, in the presence of several dignitaries including Dr. Jürgen Morhard, consul general of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mumbai and Dr. P. Anbalagan, chief executive officer, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) The state-of-the-art manufacturing factory site admeasures 100,000 square meters and has a built-up area of 51,000 square meters. This site is India’s largest adhesive manufacturing factory. It will further increase Henkel’s capabilities to serve customers across markets including flexible packaging, automotive, agriculture & construction equipment, general industry and metals.
