Uflex to launch new line of UV and UV LED inks

At the upcoming Labelexpo India 2018, Uflex will be exhibiting in Stand K10  at India Expo Center & Mart, from 22 to 25 November 2018. At the event, Uflex’s Chemical Division will be launching a new line of UV and UV LED inks for sheetfed offset, letterpress and narrow web applications for various kinds of paper/paperboard and plastic substrates. Along with the high performance inks, medium and general performance inks with food safety compliance will be on display. The company will also announce its formal launch of its Flexgreen series product range (dedicated UV LED inks and coatings for offset application) and Flexcure series product range (UV inks and coatings for sheetfed, letterpress and narrow web application) during the show.

Uflex Chemical Division is venturing into offset with UV LED inks for offset and NW. Uflex Chemicals will also showcase water-based products such as PUR mono component adhesive, dry & wet bond lamination, side pasting adhesive, e-flute adhesives, water-based coatings and primers for offset.

Uflex’s Holography Division will be launching labels with registered Lens Technology printed with the new Orthotec machine. The entire product range of Uflex’s Holography division, including holograms, films, stamping foils, holographic paper/paperboard and self-adhesive labels with all the new developments, suited to meet and enhance requirements of all brands, will be on display. Labels with screen effect will also be on display.

Uflex’s Cylinder Division will launch Elastomer Flexo Printing Sleeves & Elastomer Flexo Printing Plate and Gravure Cylinders for Glitter printing. The newly installed flexo plate making line from Esco CDI ensures high res optics for perfect details/resolutions from 2000-2540 ppi (standard optics) and 2400-4000 ppi (high-res optics), screens up to 300 lpi and 1-99% dots. The output is compatible with offset and gravure quality and consistency.

Laser-engraved Elastomer Plates features include highest quality print not only in line work but also in half tone images, consistent print quality due to transfer of all kinds of flexo inks, viz. water based, UV, E-Beam, ketone group, and ethyl acetate, and increased efficiency due to lesser setup time on the press with optimal register. It has better control on DGC on highlights and mid-tone as well as joint-less Elastomer sleeves (to mount directly into the press).

Uflex’s Cylinder Division will also showcase an array of flexo printing and gravure printing products with non contact, direct laser engraving technology with a distinct edge for precision, control and accuracy.

Additionally, gravure cylinders for glitter printing, anilox cylinders, very high gsm and very low gsm coating cylinders, and embossing cylinders for paper, foil, tobacco, liquor cartons and leather will be on display in the gravure printing category.

The impact, resilience, and growth of responsible packaging in a wide region are daily chronicled by Packaging South Asia.

A multi-channel B2B publication and digital platform such as Packaging South Asia.is always aware of the prospect of new beginnings and renewal. Its 16-year-old print monthly, based in New Delhi, India has demonstrated its commitment to progress and growth. The Indian and Asian packaging industries have shown resilience in the face of ongoing challenges over the past three years.

As we present our publishing plan for 2023, India’s real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2023 will reach 6.3%. Packaging industry growth has exceeded GDP growth even when allowing for inflation in the past three years.

The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 33% over the past three years. With orders in place, we expect another 33% capacity addition from 2023 to 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels have grown similarly. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.

Even given the disruptions of supply chains, raw material prices, and the challenge of responsible and sustainable packaging, packaging in all its creative forms and purposes has significant headroom to grow in India and Asia. Our context and coverage engulf the entire packaging supply chain – from concept to shelf and further – to waste collection and recycling. We target brand owners, product managers, raw material suppliers, packaging designers and converters, and recyclers.

In an admittedly fragmented and textured terrain, this is the right time to plan your participation and marketing support communication – in our impactful and highly targeted business platform.
