Essel Propack, the largest global manufacturer of laminated tubes for
FMCG and pharma sectors, recently expanded its manufacturing
capabilities in Egypt and China to cater to FMCG and cosmetic brands in West
Asian, African and Chinese markets. Essel Propack Suzhou (EPSL) at
Suzhou in East China will cater to the needs of non-oral care category.
The plant is strategically located in the hub of multinational and
domestic cosmetic brands. The primary focus of the new plant would be
beauty and cosmetic products like facial cleanser, hand cream, shampoo
and hair conditioner. With the commissioning of EPSL, this is Essel
Propack’s fifth plant in China.

Essel Propack, part of the US$ 2.4 billion Essel Group with turnover of
over US$ 300 million, is one of the largest speciality packaging
companies  manufacturing laminated and seamless or extruded plastic
tubes. With over 2500 people representing 25 different nationalities,
Essel Propack functions through 24 state-of-the-art facilities in twelve
countries, selling more than 5 billion tubes and continuing to grow
every year.Holding a market share of 33% in the laminated tubes
domain, Essel Propack leads as the world’s largest manufacturer with
units operating across countries such as USA, Mexico, Colombia, United
Kingdom, Poland, Germany, Egypt, Russia, China, Philippines, Indonesia
and India. These facilities cater to diverse packaging needs of
consumers and include oral care, cosmetics, personal care,
pharmaceutical, food and industrial sectors, by offering customized
solutions. According to the company, this is the first phase of
investment in EPSL, which has an annual supply capacity of 160 million
tubes, which will subsequently be more than doubled to 380 million
tubes. The primary focus of the new plant would be beauty and cosmetic
products like facial cleanser, hand cream, shampoo and hair conditioner.
