VK Global Digital, a long-standing partner of Bobst with multiple folder-gluers and die-cutting machines, has further strengthened its commitment by acquiring a Bobst Vision K5 HS metallizer.
According to a release posted on the Bobst website, this acquisition enables VK Global to ensure the best design visibility, enhanced barrier performance, and consistent quality for their packaging solutions, reinforcing their position as a leader in premium packaging.
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Faridabad, VK Global Digital specializes in high-performance packaging materials, using silver transfer metallized films, holographic diffraction patterns, optically active surface patterns, and Fresnel lens films on substrates such as PET, BOPP, and paper. These are widely used in monocartons, self-adhesive labels, and flexible packaging applications.
Packaging South Asia visited VK Global Digital’s Faridabad plant in February 2025 and featured it in our issue as part of our plant visits.
The Vision K5 HS is being assembled to the highest standards at Bobst’s new vacuum metallizer production site in Pune, India. This marks a significant milestone in Bobst’s commitment to expanding local assembling capabilities while delivering cutting-edge technology to its partners.
Commenting on the investment, Rohit Jain, managing director of V K Global Digital, said, “Our decision to invest in the Bobst metallizer has significantly elevated our production efficiency and output quality, Bobst’s dedication to innovation, customer support, and sustainability made this partnership a natural fit for our Vision of excellence and environmental responsibility.”
Bobst Vision K5 HS vacuum metallizer offers optimal metallization to ensure the best design visibility. Holographic films can be properly laminated due to their strong metal bond strength. The customized holographic impressions / images are transferred on the paper board, BOPET, paper and BOPP which can be widely used in various packaging applications.
Bobst says it is continuously innovating and the Vision K5 HS metallizer is no exception, the machine incorporates a 700 mm coating drum providing the largest coating window in the industry and has been designed to handle a wide variety of different film types including heat sensitive, thin gauge and sustainable substrates with new features to improve metallizing performance on PE and low temperature heat-sealable BOPP films.
