Siegwerk, a global provider of printing inks and coatings for packaging applications and labels, has announced the launch of Cirkit Novaseal, a new dedicated portfolio of heat seal lacquers (HSL) within its Cirkit coatings brand.
The new product family delivers reliable and consistent sealing performance for fiber-based and selected flexible packaging solutions, supporting brand owners and converters in the transition to more sustainable packaging.
With Cirkit Novaseal, Siegwerk brings together its circular economy strategy and proven heat-sealing expertise, integrating the know-how and technologies gained through the Allinova acquisition into one coherent and clearly positioned product family.
Reliable sealing performance across applications
Cirkit Novaseal heat-sealing lacquers are designed to enable consistent sealing, good hot-tack performance and robust bond strength across a wide range of packaging applications. The portfolio covers multiple product characteristics and performance profiles, offering solutions optimized for gravure and flexographic printing, as well as different sealing temperature requirements.
The product range includes variants with – Low seal initiation temperatures for efficient processing; Excellent hot-tack performance for high-speed packaging lines; and High bond strength at low coating weights, supporting converting processes such as flexo or gravure.
This structured portfolio approach allows converters to select the right lacquer based on application method, performance needs and end-use requirements.

As part of Siegwerk’s Cirkit brand, Novaseal solutions are developed with circularity in mind. The portfolio is tailored for paper-based packaging and selected flexible applications, enabling functional performance while supporting recyclability-driven packaging designs.
